Slowly coming to a stop, loralie and Freddy stared at the house the address had brought them to. It had been a while loralie assumed, so Katie might not even be there. She took out the picture of Katie and Dr. Senka, crumpled and stained with blood. Gathering her courage at last, she opened the door to the car. Her hands clammed up, as she slowly started to sweat. How would she break the news to Katie? Would Katie even be there? Slowly trudging up the steps, loralie shot a look back at Freddie. He nodded in reassurance as she took another slow steady step. She knocked on the door. A few minutes went by, and she knocked again. Her stomach turned as she checked the address again. “girlie just open the door” Freddy yelled to loralie with his hands cupped over his mouth. At first she didn’t even consider it. Just then, the adrenaline kicked back in as she reached for the door. Locked, just her luck. Raising her leg without hesitation, she kicked a hole into the door. Widening the hole with her bare hands, she fit herself through. The room was dark inside, the only light was coming through the hole that she had just made. The windows were boarded up, blocking anyone from looking outside or anyone from looking in she walked a little further into the darkness. The image of her stepping into the gas flashed through her head. Shaking the memory, loralie crept forward through the blinding darkness. It smelled brutal, as if there was rotting meat out in the open. She scrunched her nose as her mind raced with questions. How could Katie live like this? Was she this upset that Dr. Senka was gone? Suddenly, she tripped over something large and hard. Crashing to the ground, she felt the back wall. So this was it, she thought to herself. There was nothing in there but a what she made out to be a chair. Did Katie sell all of her other furniture? She heard a bang come from the door. Freddy was working away at the door from the other side to get a good look of his own. Light flooded the room at last, Freddy standing in the doorway. He looked around the room for loralie, and soon found her sitting in the back of the room. Taking a step forward, he suddenly stopped. His eyes widened at something above loralie’s head. “little lady… I’m going to need you to crawl over here, okay?” he said in a low voice. She moved the chair out of her way and made her way across the room to Freddy. She stood up, brushing the dust and spider webs off of her. Looking towards Freddy’s gaze, she suddenly froze in horror.
