The leopard

I tap my pencil on my desk staring at the clock. "Mr. Night?" "How are we going to find it without breaking curfew?" "Mr. Night?" "Maybe I can turn bat and squeeze through the vents wait no I need knuckles help and he can't turn into a bat since he's not a full blood" "Mr. Night?" "What if I-" "MR. SHADOW NIGHT!" I jump dropping my pencil facing the professor as the class snickers. "Now that I have your attention would you mind telling me the correct answer to this riddle." He slams his pointer stick on the board. "Now what has a spine but no bones?" He asked. "Book" I said bluntly. His mouth drops. "Well alright then...." He said turning back to the board. "I wonder how Knuckles is doing."

"I already been through this lesson she never listens" I thought to myself as I pulled out a book and hide it behind the text book. I get lost reading that i no longer hear the lesson. As I flip through the pages I feel a tap on my shoulder making me jump. I look up to see a dark purple male leopard standing next to me. Wearing black from head to toes. On his wrist is a snake bracelet that goes up to his elbow. "Mind if I sit here?" He said with a thick southern accent. "Um no go ahead" I move my bag for him to sit. "Names Fang" he said "knuckles" I replied going back to my book. "Whatcha reading?" He said scooting closer. "Ummmm The Shinning?" I answered. "Cool Stephen King" he said going to takes notes. "That was strange." "Listen do you know where Mr. Laven's class is?" "Ummmmm yeah that's my next one." "Could you help me out please?" He asked. I sighed and sent shadow a quick text with a picture from under the desk letting him know I'm showing some new guy who's in my next class where it's at. Shadow of course was more focused on finding the part of the ruby but he understands and tells me to be careful. "Ok I'll help yeah" "thanks" he smiled.
Deep down something felt off.

I turn off my phone and met up with Daisy and Katherine . "Hey you ready? Where's knuckles?" Kat asked. "New guy asked for his help today" I said with a sigh. "Wait what new guy?" Daisy asked concerned. "Some purple leopard guy." I said looking through my backpack. When I looked up Daisy eyes were widen in fear. "What? What is it?" I asked. "That's impossible that guy died two nights ago....." she said her voice shaking. My instincts kick in and I bolt towards Knuckles's last class. I didn't see him nor the leopard. I continued to frantically look for them until I saw knuckles messenger bag laying next to the campus fairgrounds. It was ripped indicating there was a struggle and under the bag laid a iPad stuck on pause. I clicked played and see the face of the leopard grinning. "If your seeing this Shadow it means I have your adorable mate. Find me the rest of the ruby and I shall spare you both." He grinned. "Why does he want the ruby?" I thought. "Oh I bet your wondering who I am. Well your about to find out." He said as his voice changed to a female voice. I watch in horror as the leopards face slowly forms into a cobra, his chest melts away revealing a thin body with large breast, the legs merge together for the serpent tail. Her eyes the colors of sunset. I knew for sure who she was.
