Chapter Nineteen

-Nina-

Nagising ako at sa may clinic na ako ng school and the next thing I knew ay nasa OB na ako undergoing ultrasound.

Stressed daw ako kaya nahimatay ako pero it was purely out of shock when Marco said those words I had longed to hear. Guni-guni ko lang ba iyon or he's just saying it to make me give him a chance?

The doctor talked to Marco and explained about my pregnancy. Right now I am on the hospital be again with Marco beside me.

I looked at Marco's face while he was looking at the screen and hearing the baby's heartbeat.
His face was of pure joy and fascination na tila maiiyak na din ako. It's obvious in his face that he had fallen in love with our baby girl. Tuwang-tuwa siya nang inabot ng doctor ang printer copies ng ultrasound results.

Before we went home, lumuhod pa si Marco at nagmakaawa pa. Dahil nakakahiya ang ginagawa niya ay umoo na lang ako para tumayo siya. Madami pa namang tao na nakakita sa amin.

Pero tila nasa rewind pa ang mga nangyari kahapon.

"What do you want, Marco?"

"You and our baby. I know sorry will never be enough but I want to be a part of you both. Can you give me this last chance? I love you and our baby, Nina. I will prove it to you. Please."

Mahal nga ba niya ako? Okay lang na mas mahalin niya ang baby. Huwag lang niya sana saktan ito tulad ng ginawa niya sa akin.

Nakatulog ako na walang sagot sa tanong ko.

Marco visited us the next day and I faked being tired para makausap si Trixie at Felicity about what happened yesterday. Buti na lang online sila sa Skype kaya nakapag-conference call ako.

"Sisters, Marco..." Bungad ko sa kanila and I got mixed reactions.

"So finally nakausap mo ang manlolokong iyon?! Wag kang maniwala sa mga pinagsasabi niya!"
Trixie said and was on her 8th month of pregnancy.

"What happened? Magkakabalikan na ba kayo?" Tanong ni Felicity na may halong kilig kasi umaasa siya na iyan nga ang mangyari.

"Ikaw Cee kailan mo sasagutin si Nathan?" Pabirong tanong ni Trixie.

"Wag ka nga, Trix!" Asar na sagot ni Felicity.

"Marco said he loves me tapos nawalan ako ng malay then we went for an ultrasound. Tuwang-tuwa siya sa baby."

"OMG! Ang galing ni Marco magsinungaling! That lying cheating bastard!" Trixie said vehemently.

"Trixie pwede ba? Let's give the benefit of the doubt malay mo he's really in love with Nina na and that he wants to work this out between them!"

"Yan hirap sa iyo Cee eh! You're such a hopeless romantic! He broke her heart and he'll do it again. What if it's just a ploy to get the baby ha?"

"Alam nyo, I needed an advice from the both of you and not an argument." I said and they both sighed.

"Eto Nins ha? Ano ba ang sabi ng puso mo?" Felicity asked.

"I need more time siguro..." I finally said.

"Oo wag na padalos-dalos, sis." Trixie agreed.

I said goodbye to both kaya lumabas ako para tingnan if nakaalis na si Marco pero nag-uusap pa rin pa sila ni tatay.

"I love her and it took long before I realized it. I was a fool to hurt her and let her go."

Feeling ko tumigil ang tibok ng puso ko nang marinig ko ang sinabi ni Marco.
