"You owe me an explanation, dear cousin." Madeline stated.

Kakagaling ko lang nag rounds at andito na agad si Madeline sa office ko. Pero to be honest I'm already expecting her, kagabi nung umalis ako sa bahay niya ay ang dami niyang text saakin.

When Warden told me that I'll claim him turned into a disaster, I told him to get out of my condo but he didn't move an inch. I also told him that I'm not a bunch of snobby women who would claim a man without him pursuing me.

"There's nothing to explain, Madeline." I shot an irritated glare at her but what she did is putting both of her hands into her hips. "Liar, explain that," she's pointing at the bouquet Warden gave me earlier.

"That's a fucking flower, Madeline. What else do you want to know?" I say to her while typing something on my computer.

"I'm not a moron, Gwianna. Are you guys back together?" she asked seriously this time.

"If I'll say yes, will you believe me?" I glance at her and she's looking at me with a hawk eye.

"Of course, I know you still love him," she said casually and leaned her back to the chair in front of my table.

"What?" I ask again. "Come on, you didn't date since you guys broke up, you always say that you're busy in med-school," she said in a boring tone. "And then suddenly when you got here from Mindanao after your interview, you always go back there."

"Excuse me? First of all, hindi ako pumunta sa Mindanao dahil sa kaniya, I was there because of our new branch of hospital there."

"Yeah, yeah, right. Engineer. Warden Koh happened to be the engineer handling the project there. Okay, Gwianna, I get it." she said sarcastically and I scoff.

"So, bakit ka nagmamadali umuwi kagabi nung nalaman mo na andito siya sa Manila?" she asked again while her brows wiggling up and down.

"Bakit mo alam andito siya?"

"Obvious naman sa mukha mo, eh. Am I wrong?" she smiled, an irritating smile.

"Get out, Madeline, before I'll kick your ass out of here in my office."

"Correction, my office. This office is supposed to be mine, idiot." She said still sitting in front of me, I sigh in disappointment and continue on doing something on my computer.

"Pa feeling busy," sabi niya habang nakatingin sa ceiling ko. I leaned both of my arms on my table and shot both of my eyes at her. "What do you want?"

"The truth, Gwianna. Gosh, you're so denial." She said shaking her head.

"What truth? Well if you're expecting that we got back together then I'm sorry to burst your bubble because we didn't." I leaned back to my chair looking away at Madeline.
