Chapter 4

When I wake up, my head is foggy, and I feel like I've been body slammed into a tree. Oh. I groan as I try to open my perfectly coloured orbs to the harsh lights, but I end up closing them again.

"Y/n! You're awake!"

I scowl at the familiar emo boy voice. "Fuck offf..."

I can hear the smile in Sasuke's voice. "Yeah, you're fine."

Another voice joins in, one I appreciate much more. "Leave Y/n alone Sasuke! They've been through enough recently."

I actually open my eyes at this, and almost jump up out of the bed. "S-Sakura? What are you doing here?" I look around the room, Sasuke and Sakura are sitting in visiting chairs, and I'm- in a hospital bed?

Sakura looks at me. "Y/n, you should stay in bed! You're still hurt."

I look down at myself, noticing the heavily bandaged arm, and the hospital gown. Embarrassed, I pull the sheets on the bed up to my chest. Sakura can't see me almost nakey, not like this! As I remember everything that happened to me earlier, I groan again. "Oh fucking hell, I totally made us fail the chunin exam." I say in a depressed tone.

Sasuke sighs, equally sad, but Sakura is more hopeful. "Hey, it hasn't been decided yet, maybe we could still pass!"

I shake my head violently, feeling tears fall slightly as I do so. "Why would they let us pass? I've completely fucked us over. I did the one thing we weren't supposed to do. I'm sorry." my eyes burn like fire, but I WON'T cry in front of Sakura. I'll cry later, when I'm alone in my house, even though it pains me to act like Sasuke.

Sakura looks sad. "I'll go wait outside." She gets up and leaves me and my arch nemesis. I scowl at him, and quickly leap out of my hospital bed. I spot Akamaru, asleep at the base of my bed. He perks his head when I get up, and I smile at him. "Come on Akamaru, let's get out of this room. It smells like sweat." I spit at Sasuke. He looks sad again. Haha, little bitch.

I sashay out of the room, and Akamaru follows me.

I storm away from the room, thinking angrily as I do so. "I HATE HATE HATE Sasuke" I mumble to myself. He is a small bitch idiot rat from a long family line of bitch idiot rats.

I walk out into the courtyard and let Akamaru sniff around outside. While he does his business, I spot Sasuke across the courtyard. Oh my fucking good lord from the ninth circle of hell, is he following me?!?! I duck behind a bush, and peer through. Luckily he doesn't see me. Then, I notice Naruto! He's walking into the courtyard towards Sasuke.

Omg, bestie. Slay. I think to myself as Naruto walks very eccentrically. Naruto isn't exactly my bestest friend, but he's a bro.

"OMG SASUKE KUN!!!!" Naruto calls out to the guy who had been stalking me.

Sasuke turns. "Oh hey Naruto." He speaks with an odd amount of fear in his voice.

"Yo bro! Wanna come get some ichiraku ramen with me? I could treat you to a little dinner, then we could... y'know, go back to my place..."

I gasp in shock, Naruto offered to pay for someone's food!?!?! He never does that for me!!!!! Naruto is no longer a homie. I solemnly curse him. He's not invited to my birthday party anymore.

Sasuke looks nervous. "Oh, I don't know, I was kind of gonna ask someone else to dinner..." He says, and I can't help but snort out loud. I feel bad for whatever stupid little baka would get asked out by Sasuke.

Naruto throws his arm around Sasuke. "But Sasuke-Senpai!! Ichirakuuuuuu!!!"

Sasuke shrugs. "Well... I guess that sounds good enough..."

My jaw is on the floor. I whisper to Akamaru like I'm gossiping. "Oh my good fuck, he did not just agree to that!!!"

Akanamaru looks at me like 'Guuuuuuurl(gender neutral) he did!!'

"No!!!!" I scream in a whisper. Wait. I know what's happening here. Sasuke is stealing my friends!!! I knew he had ulterior motives! Maybe he's working with Itachi to kill them too!!!! I have to stop him. It's up to me.

I look back to see Sasuke and Naruto again, and Naruto looks very happy. He doesn't know he's being duped. Used. Bamboozled.

I cry a single tear before I make my plan. I will follow Sasuke all day. I will make sure Naruto doesn't die. I won't lose anyone else!!

I watch Naruto give Sasuke a little kiss on the cheek, and repress the urge to vomit. I can't believe Sasuke tricked him into that!

On top of it all, Sasuke managed to use my temporary brain damage to get me on his side for a moment. It's insane!!! I won't let him manipulate and gaslight me into thinking this all isn't his fault! It is his fault. Everything is his fault. I will make him pay for what his brother did to my family. My good happy family. I won't let him take Naruto from me too!

I will get to the bottom of this, not for my sake, but for my beastie Naruto!!!!
