Nashira spent the next week in and out of a screwed up sleep state. Eventually, though, she caught up on enough sleep to normalize and become coherent again. When she did, Papyrus wasn't there. Nor was Sans. It was early in the morning, about 6. To early for her usual standards. It seemed her sleep schedule wasn't quite there after all. She sighed heavily, leaning back against the hospital pillows. "What happened..? Why am I here, I'm pretty sure I was at home when I took a nap.." She grumbled. She remembered that.. she was taking her 15 minute break after a somewhat scolding from Papyrus. She tried to take Honey out. Must've fell asleep in the process. "So why am I at the hospital?" She wondered out loud. "WELL, ONE OF YOUR NEIGHBORS LEFT THE STOVE ON WHILE THEY WENT OUT AND THE FIREFIGHTERS BELIEVE THAT THE CURTAIN CAUGHT FIRE. THE SECOND FLOOR WAS COMPLETELY BURNED OUT AND THE THIRD WAS COLLECTING ALL THAT SMOKE. YOU WOULD HAVE SUFFORCATED IF HONEY HADN'T FOUND PAPY AND I." Nashira looked over to Sans, who was smiling with relief. When did he get here!? "Oh. Thank you then... is Honey ok!?" He laughed. "SHE'S FINE. VERY WELL MANNERED AS WELL." Shira chuckled. "Thanks again.. when did you get here anyway?"
"I JUST GOT HERE. PAPYRUS SHOULD BE HERE ANY MINUTE NOW. HE'LL WANNA TALK TO YOU, JUST FORWARNING YOU." Of course he will. "Alright, thank Sans.."

True to his words, Papyrus did come not long after and according to Sans, this was the earliest that he'd been willingly waking up in YEARS. Nashira didn't blame him. She hated waking up early too. "good morning, sunshine, you're looking better. well enough to tell me why you were depriving yourself of much needed sleep?" Well. Wasn't he going for the heavy hitter. But.. they did deserve to know the truth. She didn't know WHY she didn't tell them in the first place. "Remember that month free rent you monsters had when you moved in? Well in order to make up for it, the rent was raised way past my pay. So I picked up a 'few' more jobs thinking I could handle it.." Sans and Papyrus exchanged glances. "HOW MANY IS A FEW..?" Sans asked hesitantly. "Eh... five jobs, give or take." They flinched. "i'm sorry, shira. we didn't mean ta cause you problems.." She shook her head immediately. "No, no. Don't blame yourselves. I should've asked for help." They looked at each other again. "WELL STILL, TO MAKE IT UP TO YOU, YOU CAN MOVE IN WITH US!" Sans offered as Papyrus nodded. "sans, can i talk to nashira alone?" Sans nodded. "I'LL ORDER BREAKFAST!!"

"What's up, Papyrus?" Nashira asked. He sighed. "well. you shared your secrets... it's about time i share mine.." He looked uneasy but determined. "when i was a boy, i used to go to the lab a lot with my dad to see my mom. i learned a lot, being there and at the lab and the c.o.r.e... that is the source of power in the underground. anyway. my parents were busy and i decided to go explore the c.o.r.e on my own like a smart boy..." He took a moment to gather his thoughts. "there was a meltdown that day. my parents searched the whole place for me and in the end, i made it out... but they... they didn't.. i... wasn't completely unscathed either. the c.o.r.e took my parents and my sight. nobody knows but me.." She paused. "... you're blind... Stars Papyrus, I'm so sorry!" They embraced.
