When Professor Mcgonagall finally found the trio, she had already been searching for an hour. The three were in Myrtle's bathroom; Harry lay on the floor with his head in Hermione's lap and an arm thrown over his face, Hermione had a book balanced on Harry's Head, and Ron was dozing peacefully leaning against the sinks.

"I'd ask that you keep your voice down. Harry needs to get some rest after Defense."

"I don't see why. He did a number on the boggart, far more than it did to him."

"After last year, Harry is terrified of 'going dark' or people believing they are. It's their greatest fear: to end up just like the man who killed their parents. The boggart showed them that and they reacted. Violently."

Mcgonagall ran her hand down her face, frustration leaking from every motion she made. The three students had already caused a year's worth of trouble and it was only a few days into the school year. She turned to leave, deciding to just leave the three alone, they weren't getting into trouble currently and that was about all she could ask for.

"Stay out of trouble for the rest of the day, please." She left afterwards. Hermione just went back to her book as the two teens napped.

It was a little while later that the two were shaken awake and hauled to their next classes, both grumbled tiredly. Hermione and Harry were in Ancient runes, learning about the boxing method to draw runes. Ron went to muggle studies, excited to finally learn about all of the weird references Hermione, Harry, and Dean.

At dinner, the three ate and spoke rather quietly, the only talking being Hermione telling them about the fascinating magical ritual she had been reading about. Though the conversation was spoken as quietly as possible considering these rituals had been banned by the ministry, the trio were rather upset with that.

The ritual, one used on the old pagan holidays, had been banned due to the blood magic involved. Though the three were rather ticked off, they counted spilling a single drop of blood onto a piece of paper that was immediately burned afterwards as blood magic. The discussion soon turned to the muggle versions of pagan traditions and if they would also be banned.

" Mx. Potter, you will have detention with me tonight for your violent display earlier. Come along."

"Yes, Professor Snape," Harry scooped up his school bag, hugged Hermione, and ruffled Ron's hair before following Snape. They weren't sure what they would be doing in detention, but they hoped it would be a sort of study hall.

"Have you finished your homework?"

"No, sir. Hermione basically forced me to take a nap to calm down."

"You'll do your homework then read quietly once you are done."

Harry didn't feel the need to answer, too relieved, and simply grabbed their homework and sat at the front table. They began to work on the ancient runes essay, it was one foot about the practical uses of the boxing method. They were nearly done, but they had a few questions that the textbook didn't answer.

"Hey Professor?"

"Yes Potter?"

"Could you answer a few questions for me? Their on ancient runes."

"Very well."

The rest of their detention was spent with Snape explaining different concepts using runes that they thought of. He told them about the projects they would be doing during their fifth and sixth years. Harry had to be reminded of curfew as they had a thousand ideas for rune projects and was extremely disappointed that they couldn't talk more.

"You can tell me more about your ideas tomorrow after classes. Four to Six. Don't be late."

"Thank you Professor!"
