~Sam
*Natasha's POV*
The blue light from Loki's sceptre gleams evilly as it pushes into Clint's chest. "No!" I shout angrily, attempting to shoot Loki in the head. Every time I try, he dodges the bullet. Literally. "Have fun." Loki grins maliciously as he vanishes. I turn around quickly to face Clint. His feet planted firmly on the ground whilst his eyes turn a shocking blue like a glow stick. My vision grows cloudy, due to the tears flooding my eyes.

Clint edges towards me and I hear Loki's scary laughter in my mind. I blink away the tears and drop my gun on the floor. "I'm not going to fight you." I say as the gun clatters noisily to the ground. Clint stares at the ground before charging at me, a stern frown on his usually smiling face. His hands grip onto my shoulders roughly. I crash into the hard wall, an excruciating pain runs up my spine. "Clint." I whisper slowly. Hoping he'll recognise me. Instead he tosses me across the room. I hit the water pipe hard. Pools of icy water cover the surface of the abandoned factory. "I've got a mission." Clint says, splashing through the water. "To kill you."

"We met five years ago in Budapest, Hungary. You brought me into S.H.I.E.L.D to save me from my past agency. We were recruited as Avengers, and recently got married-" I speak through the pain. "STOP!" Clint shouts, shaking his head rapidly. "Your name is Clinton Francis Barton." I carry on, stuttering as he kicks me powerfully in the stomach. I shout out in pain. "You're my husband!" With that he wraps both hands around my small neck. The air escapes my lungs, and I struggle for breath.

Clint tightens his grip around my neck. Shaking as he does so. He glances down at his hands whilst I splutter, my consciousness fading out. Clint notices the wedding ring on his finger. He slowly lets go of my neck. I collapse onto the cold, wet ground. I cough and steady my breathing. Does he remember? He touches the ring on his finger, and then the one on mine. His face is as blank as a sheet of plain paper as he recalls our past together. "Tasha?" He mumbles looking into my eyes. I nod wearily.

Clint picks me up quickly but carefully. The blue exits his eyes and he hugs me tight, wrapping his arms around my waist. His tears thread into my hair. "Everything's going to be all right." I try to reassure him. He shakes his head, exhausted. "I hurt you." Clint struggles to let the words leave his mouth. Tears tumble down his cheeks. "It wasn't your fault." I try to restrain myself from crying as well. "I promised I'd never hurt you." He slowly pulls away, looking at my blood on his hands. "It wasn't you, it was Loki. He got inside your head." I say rubbing my hands down my thighs nervously. Clint whips the gun off the floor. His hands wobbling as he does. "You should have shot me." He cries. Looking at the gun. I take it off him, not wanting him to do something stupid. "We'll get past this." I say touching his cheek. He shakes his head. "How?" He asks. "Like we always do."
