A/N: This is just a little One Shot on the topic of kids, but just before you read I'd like to tell you all about my new book! I've recently published my 'Avengers Preferences', which I have to say, I am very excited about. There is one part up now entitled 'How You Met' and it would mean a lot if you gave it a read! I'll be writing the preferences for Tony, Steve, Thor, Clint, Bruce and Natasha, but in the future I might add more characters in. I hope you enjoy my 'Avengers Preferences' as I have had a lot of fun writing them!

I also updated 'Fighting Next To You' which is my fairly new Clintasha FanFiction, set just after Budapest. Part Five is up now, and I hope you like it!

Anyway, I hope you guys like this One Shot, please remember to enjoy, comment, recommend and vote!

*Natasha's POV*

I wake up to hear the birds chirping merrily in the garden, and the sun blazing through the curtains. I turn over to see Clint, already awake, on his phone. "Morning." He smiles, kissing me gently on my nose. "Morning." I breathe. I stretch out my arms and yawn before sitting up and pulling my hands through my tangled hair. "Do you want kids?" Clint asks abruptly. I sigh. "C'mon Clint, you know how I feel about kids..." I trail off, not wanting to remember that I can't physically have children. I already feel bad enough as it is, as I know how much Clint loves children. It was one of the main reasons I was so hesitant to have a relationship with Clint, because I didn't want him to miss out on having children.  "No Tasha, not being able to have kids is different from not wanting to have them. Do you want kids." He pushes, placing his phone down on the bedside table. "Of course I do, but there are so many obstacles. I can't have kids and our jobs make it complicated to be able to be parents." I remind Clint. He doesn't seem to understand that being a S.H.I.E.L.D agent does have some implications. Who would look after the children whilst we're away? What would happen to them if we both got killed or injured? "We're not going to be S.H.I.E.L.D agents forever Tasha. We need to have a future of our own." Clint says moodily, getting out of bed. "We can have a future Clint, but we're both in the midst of our careers and I can't rest until the world is free of threats." I get out of bed too and pull on my bath robe. "The world will never be free of threats." Clint says sulkily. He opens the bedroom door and starts to walk down the stairs, I follow him. "Please don't get pissed off with me Barton. I'm only speaking the truth." I heatedly spit. Clint spins around. "For once can you put us first? Forget about S.H.I.E.L.D, let's focus on us! We haven't even got married yet! We've been engaged for two years!" Clint continues to walk down the stairs. He pulls on his shoes and unlocks the front door. "Where are you going?" I moan. "Out."

Clint comes back just before lunch. He doesn't say anything, he just walks upstairs and ignores me. "Clint!" I call. I've been doing some research into adoption. Whilst Clint was gone, I realised that I really love kids, but I've always been so focused on S.H.I.E.L.D and helping the world, maybe having children would be good for us? "Clint!" I shout once more. I hear his footsteps padding down the stairs. "What?" He exhales, pouring some boiling water into a mug and dropping a teabag into it. "Let's do it." I declare, suddenly feeling ready to take our relationship further. "Do what?" He mumbles moodily. "Adopt. Let's adopt." I confirm. Clint stops what he's doing and walks over to me, picking me off the floor and spinning me round and round. "I love you Tasha." He whispers into my hair. "I love you too." I tell him. "What made you change your mind?" Clint questions. "I know we'll be great parents, and we can make a huge difference to a young person's life. There's no point holding back. In a few years we won't be fit and young enough to be S.H.I.E.L.D agents, instead we'll be trainers or on council committees. So let's do it!" I smile, suddenly feeling a rush of excitement travel around my body. Clint puts me down on the floor and tucks a strand of hair behind my ear. "I'm the luckiest man alive, and our children will be the luckiest kids alive too." He says against my lips. The kiss was meaningful, true and passionate, I've never felt so sure about a relationship before, and I know that our children will grow up with the most loving parents they could have wished for.
