Gilbert stood in the field holding a broad long sword in one hand. Across from him Matthew stood with his own Claymore. Gilbert let a satisfying grin cross his face.
"ITS OVER LOSER!" The Prince called out to his opponent.
He began to charge at the blonde male who stood still and his sword flew up slicing down in front of Mathew, but the boy was quick and jumped back. Gilbert kept swinging and Matthew kept his footing blocking the hits with the clang of his own weapon.
"Are you even trying to hit me?" The sheepish boy taunted with a look of innocence.
"No!" Gil yelled in defence. "Fight back and maybe I will!"
Matthew moved aside the prince's wild swings before he brought up his sword in both hands making the advance. What Matthew did not have in brute strength he had in speed and experience.
"Reckless swinging won't get you anywhere," The young male advised showing soft controlled breaths. "Relax a little like I am."
"I don't need to relax I am AWESOME!" Gilbert yelled swinging again.
That time it almost hit Matthew but the swift boy moved to the side the prince's sword stuck in the dirt leaving him open. The blond took the oprotinity and slapped the silverettes booty with the flat side of the blade.
"Hey!" He called yanking his sword from the soil.
Matthew giggled but looked up wide eyed as Gil sliced his sword through the air he quickly rolled out of the way causing the prince to become frustrated.
"Stop dodging and fight back you chicken!"
Matthew stopped and slapped Gilbert's swinging sword to the side.
"Chicken? I'm a full fledge Polar bear little cub." Matthew said with jarring eyes.
"Really cause from here you look like a little birdie!"
"Dance with me cub!" Matthew challenged.
The Prussian swung heavily at Matthew and the young boy guarded every move. Gilbert's eyes wavered at the speed giving the violet eyed male an opening. He swung upwards and Gil put out his sword to block but the sword let off a loud clinking noise and broke in half. The top end flew off nicking the princes cheek however the real damage was the unstoppable force of Matthew's blade that cut across Gil's chest. Gilbert dropped his shattered sword and held a shaky hand to his chest before he fell to his knees.
"Gil!" Matthew's heart bellows.
He threw the Claymore to the side rushing to the prince. He knelt by Gilbert moving his arm and ripping off the cloth to check the wound.
"I'm so sorry Gil, let me see!"
"It's nothing Mattie, I'm fine." The prince laughed proudly trying to stand. "It doesn't hurt at all-" however it clearly did as the prince fell back on his knees.
Gilbert held his chest and blood slowly pooled over his white chest.
"Lie down, you'll only make it worse." Matthew fretted.
Gilbert looked up with haze filled eyes, his body shivered and he smiled.
"Mattie, you have a twin? Now I gotta make you both love me." He said before falling sideways.
Matthew caught him and lay him down slowly. He rolled him on his back and tore off his own tunic to stop the blood. The cut wasn't deep but it was long and blood pooled on the valley like gash. Matthew had nothing to treat Gil with so there was only one thing he could do.
"Help!" He cried.
He saw a maiden cross through the window and he screamed again.
"Help! Please! Someone!"
He looked at the prince who had fainted from blood loss and his eyes pooled with tears.
"Please."
