Inside Stiles' house, he was trying to get a hold of Scott.
"Damn it, he's probably making out with Allison or something," Stiles said furiously.
He ran to his bedroom and I followed him.
Inside there were papers and books strewn everywhere.
Most were werewolf lore stories and supposed facts about lycanthropy.
In the corner was a chair with what looked like claw marks in it.
"Did Scott do this?" I asked.
"Yeah, he was in a frenzy when he was first in denial. Would have ripped my throat out if that chair wasn't there," He said.
Everything got hazy and I felt myself zoning out all of a sudden.
A book stood out to me. It had a blue cover with faded gold lettering.
It opened in front of me and glowed a faint white color as I started to read it.
"A newly turned werewolf will lose all control during the full moon unless they submit to the alpha that turned them. The pack protector could also help the shift by absorbing some of the full moon powers from the new werewolf."
The book closed and I turned to see Stiles with his phone pointed at me.
"What the hell?" He whispered.
"What?" I asked.
"You just started floating with a glowing book and had some weird voice," Stiles said. "Here look."
He replayed the video he took to me. My hair had taken on a golden hue and the blue book I had was glowing as I floated a foot off the ground.
"Well, I'm certainly getting more floaty then," I sighed. "What if I power on during the party tonight? I don't know if the full moon affects me at all."
"Right, so I'll have to keep track of you and Scott. And make sure Derek doesn't kill Scott,"
"I could try what the book said. I could attempt to absorb some of his powers," I offered.
"No, we still don't know how your powers work. What if by helping Scott, you lose control?" Stiles asked.
"Fine," I sighed.
"Hey, it'll be okay tonight. Even if Scott wolf's out and kills someone, at least we can tell how strong he really is when he isn't in control," Stiles explained.
"Stiles, I'm gonna need you to shut up. You're making me worry," I said. I could feel my blood flow through my body.
"And maybe try not to levitate things tonight," Stiles said as he pointed to a bunch of books floating around me again.
"Right, sorry," I said. "I don't know what I am."
"According to some research I did during my free period, you're a magical entity," Stiles replied.
"I could have told you that. I do magic," I said blandly.
I plopped down on the floor surrounded by books.
"Tomorrow during lunch, we can go to the library and figure it out," He offered.
"Sure," I agreed.
"Okay, then it's a date," Stiles said. "Well, not like an actual date but like a study thing."
"I get it. Not trying to make out with you in the library," I laughed as Stiles chuckled from embarrassment.
"Oh, would you look at the time? Let's get going," Stiles changed the subject. Two hours had passed since we had gotten to Stiles's house.
All the freaky floating and talking made time seem to speed up for me.
Stiles kept glancing at me nervously as we drove to Lydia's house for the party.
"You good?" I asked him since Stiles kept tapping on the steering wheel rapidly.
"Yeah, well I'm nervous. I've never been to a big party before. And you know, Lydia's so hot."
"Do you like her?" I asked.
"Only since forever," He sighed.
For some reason, my heart sank. I didn't even know Stiles. It was like I felt what he felt. The longing and want for someone I could never have.
We had arrived at Lydia's house. There were plenty of people mingling outside and music was booming from inside the house.
"Come on Stiles," I said as I dragged him out of the car to where I saw Scott and Allison.
"Hi, Elise. Hi Stiles," Allison waved as we walked up to them.
"Hey Scott, how are you?" Stiles asked quietly.
Apparently, Allison heard Stiles because she immediately got concerned. "Is everything okay?" She asked.
"Yeah, Scott's been having explosive diarrhea lately," I said quickly.
"Oh, um okay then," She said. "I'm going to find Lydia."
Stiles' ears perked up at the redhead's name.
"It's okay, I'll stay with Scott. Go with Allison," I said.
"You're the best Eli," He said as he followed Allison into the crowd.
"Scott, are you sure you're okay?" I asked him.
He was packing around and I could sense he felt like he was in pain.
"I can't leave, not yet. I don't want to lose Allison. This is our first date," Scott whined. I saw his eyes flicker yellow for a split second.
"You can't stay here. Didn't you get the calls and texts from Stiles?" I asked.
"Of course I did. I just thought I could control it," Scott whined.
"Okay listen, Stiles said it should do this, but I read that I could try and help you control it. If you want Allison, just trust me," I said as I tried to get close to him.
"No, I can't ask that of you. You don't know what you can do yet and I don't want to put you at risk," Scott said.
He looked up at the roof and I followed his gaze. A man, or what looked like a man, was staring down at us.
"I have to go Eli. Apologize to Allison for me," Scot said.
"Scott, wait!" I yelled as he ran away into the darkness.
