"Stiles is my best friend. He's kind of crazy but he's basically like my crazy brother," Scott explained as we walked together.

"Oh cool. So where are we walking to again," I asked, completely forgetting about the schedule in my hands.

"Coach Finstocks room. Remember I told you he's the lacrosse coach?" He said.

"Sorry I forgot. First day jitters," I said.

My mom had sneakily given Scott my number after I had left on her first day at the clinic. Scott texted me, telling me which teachers were the best and which were the most likely to give detentions for nothing.

We got to room 115 and opened the door to be met with chaos.

I saw some people who were in the town when I went on my walks.

They looked friendly until the two of them started making out right in front of everyone.

I don't know where this Coach Finstock dude was but it was one hell of a mess in here.

Scott led me to the back of the classroom where a boy with buzzed hair sat quietly.

I gave a small wave to Isaac, who was sitting on the other side of the classroom.

"Hey Stiles, this is who I was telling you about," Scott said as he introduced me to Stiles.

"Hi I'm Elise Romero but you can call me Eli if you'd like," I waved at him.

He gave me a small smile before the class door opened again to a man who looked and dressed like he was having an absolute mid-life crisis.

"Okay guys, let's do better this year. Greenberg, I swear if you fail this class again I will kick you off the lacrosse team," The man, who I assumed was Coach Finstock, said.

"We have a new student, Elise, and also..." Coach Finstocks voice was drowned out by a high-pitched ringing in my ear.

Scott started looking around like crazy until his eyes landed on a girl outside.

A few minutes later, the girl walked in.

"You must be Allison, take a seat by Scott. Hey, Scott raise your hand," Finstock said.

One minute my head was clear and the next, my head spun as the brown-haired girl sat by me.

Something was happening to me. First the crazy dreams, then the ringing and now I was certain Allison was glowing.

A faint tinge of glowing red circled her head in almost like a halo.

I looked around and now discovered that everyone had a halo.

Reds, greens, oranges, yellows, and purples all floating over everyone's head

"Miss Romero, is there something you'd like to share?" Finstock asked me which snapped me out of the crazy trance.

I looked around to see everyone staring at me. No more halos.

What the hell was happening?

"No sir, sorry, I just spaced out a bit," I said as I tried to ignore the uncomfortable stares especially coming from Scott and Stiles.

The class wasn't over for another fifteen minutes since it was the first day of school and being the new kid, I got to fill out a ton of paperwork.

When the bell rang, I picked up my stuff, which was a folder and a pencil pouch of gel pens, and walked out to search for my second class.

"Hey, Eli what happened back in class?" Scott asked me.

"You wouldn't believe me if I'd told you," I replied quietly as we mixed into the crowd of people heading to their second class.

"Where're you going next?" Stiles asks me.

Before I could respond, I felt Isaac next to me and we walked next to each other silently.

"Were you okay in Finstocks class? You seemed really out of it?" he asked through the voices of other students.

"Yeah, Scott and Stiles kept on acting really weird about it though," I said.

Someone shoved into me and I felt myself fall back but Isaac caught me before someone trampled me.

"What class do you have next?" He asked me, keeping our hands laced together.

"Advanced Biology studies in room 128," I replied.

"I have the class next door so we can walk there," He said.

The warning bell rang and we started to speed up our walk up the stairs and to the right.

"See you at lunch?" He asked hopefully.

"Anything for you Lahey," I laughed before walking into the bio lab.
