Elise Romano wasn't the type of girl to fall for a guy who she just met. But then again she wasn't the type to fall for a guy.
Elise or Eli (pronounced like Ellie) as she preferred to be called, wasn't very into guys. Eli liked her options, guys, girls, a person; she wasn't picky at all. The truth is, she was lonely.
Her mother, Heidi, moved her to Beacon Hills after her father, Gilbert, left them. Her father didn't approve of a daughter that liked girls, among other things.
Elise's mother didn't care about her sexuality. Heidi was care free which was another reason why Elise's parents split.
Heidi got a job working at the Animal Clinic.
And Elise was starting her sophomore year of high school in a crappy high school with no friends.
Not that Elise had any at her old school but she had promised her mom to at least make a few friends.
Eli was turning seventeen in May and she wasn't exactly ready for that change. Getting a driver's license and prepping for harder classes got her worried a lot.
But like usual, she did her best.
And kept quiet.
Because no one likes a girl who doesn't like herself.

Quick note:
This story starts along with the plot line of season one but then I go off track of the original plot.
This is a modern day AU but not really an AU. Just better technology and music.
Also, there are going to be some trigger warnings in the story and I might forget to add them.
