The game started to get tight when I could feel the energy on the field change. There was less tension and more hope, more light.

"Should we do it?" Lydia asked us.

She took out the first sigh and we raised it up, Lydia cheered the loudest and I smiled, finally happy to be included.

"We love you Jackson!" Lydia cheered.

I looked down at the bench and saw Stiles. His dad was there but then answered the phone.

I honed in on the conversation.

"No evidence relating to him at all? Well, we can't leave him locked up. If Derek Hale is innocent, get the damn release papers and let him go. I'm at my son's game. We can discuss it when it's over," Sheriff Stilinski grumbled.

Stiles clearly heard the conversation because when they called for a time out, he ran over to Scott but Scott pushed him away.

"Scott listen to me," Stiles tried to explain.

"Not now Stiles," Scott pushed him away.

I stopped listening and snapped back. "I'll be right back," I told Lydia. She just shrugged.

I felt eyes on my back as I got up to leave. I made my way off the stands and sat next to Stiles.

"I'm still pissed at you but just know that Derek didn't do it," I told him.

"That doesn't make this situation any less problematic," He gestured to the sign Lydia was holding.

"His claws are going to pop in front of everyone," Stiles warned.

"Stilinski, who's your girlfriend?" Coach Finstock came up to us.

"Not his girlfriend," I spoke up. "Coach, you have me in your economics class."

"Right right. Eleanor Rigby," He said.

"Elise Romano, sir." I sighed.

Coach shrugged and then turned to Stiles. "Stilinski, make sure your girlfriend doesn't distract you. We might need you in case Jackson's shoulder gives out."

He walked away and Stiles looked back at me.

"Wait, what happened to Jackson?" I asked.

"Didn't you hear? Jackson got attacked in the video store the other night. Lydia was there too and she refused to talk about it," Stiles told me. "The alpha attacked the store manager and killed him."

"Why would the alpha attack an innocent person again?" I asked him.

"Scott says it's some sort of werewolf rite of passage or something. Derek's been trying to help Scott."

"Derek's a good guy. He wouldn't hurt Scott without a reason and I trust him," I told Stiles.

"Derek is also very attractive," Stiles replied. "I see which side of the family you got your looks from." He smirked at me.

"Um..." I got super flustered and continued watching the game and then Scott scored the winning goal.

Everyone ran out onto the field and I looked over at Scott who ran off in a frenzy. I saw Allison call after him but then follow him, looking very determined.

"Hey glowbug," Isaac said as he ran over to me on the bench.

"Glowbug?" I questioned.

"Yeah because you glow and you look like a bug," Isaac grinned and shook his head, letting beads of sweat go flying everywhere.

"Ew gross," I pushed him away, laughing.

I turned to see Stiles glaring at Isaac. He looked away and Isaac followed my gaze.

"Looks like someone has a crush," Isaac oohed.

"I do not," I glared at Isaac. He towered over me by a good three or four inches.

"As your best friend, you so totally have a crush on him," He replied.

"I'm gonna go find Lydia," I said, avoiding the subject.

"See you later Glowbug," Isaac waved and went into the crowd of people.

"Elise, where'd you go?" Lydia asked as I found her with Jackson talking to Coach.

"I remembered something I had to tell Stiles," I said.

"Jackson is having a small party at his house. You should come," Lydia invited.

"Sure, lemme just go home and change first," I replied eagerly.

Jackson gave me a grin and I swear it's the first time he was being nice to me.

"Do you think Scott and Allison are still busy?" Lydia asked.

"What do you mean?" I looked over towards the school.

"Well, they've been in the locker room together for nearly ten minutes," Lydia smirked.

"Oh god. I hope not," I almost gagged.

"M'kay. See you later," Lydia said as she walked away with Jackson's arm around her waist.
