Rose is 9. Finn is 12

Rose pov

I was in the betting den on Arthur's hip as he spoke to aunt pol about something. It was getting late I just wanted to go to bed. I know being 9 is abit old to be carried but I'm the shelby angel so I don't care.

"Alright love? You don't look good" esme said as she got up to feel my head

"You're not warm. Everything alright?" She asked

"I've got a tummy ache" I mumbled. Arthur immediately satme down on a chair started asking me loads of questions as he panicked

"Arthur. Calm down. She's probably just eaten too much. You saw her today. Ate enough sweets to feed all of england" John joked. I wasn't really listening. The pain wasn't to bad but I was so tired. I think Tommy noticed because he lifted me onto his hip and carried me upstairs

"Sleep now love" he said as he kissed my head and left the room. Within 2 minutes, I was asleep

Polly pov

I woke up to someone shaking me.

"Pol. Wake up quick" it was finn. I rolled over and adjusted the light to look at him.

"Finn, what the fuck. Its 4 in the morning" I complained

"I think Roses dying" he said. I jumped out of bed and ran into finn and roses shared room. On the bed was Rose, in a pool of sweat as she cried.

"It's hurts" she wailed. I stroked her hair back and tried to calm her. Finn was standing in the doorway not knowing what to do

"Go get Tommy. Tell him what's happened and call the others to meet us at the hospital" I ordered finn. He nodded and rushed out the house to Tommy's house as I strokedback roses hair

"Shhh. Its alright. I know. I know" I soothed her. Or attempted to.

Tommy pov

I was asleep in my house when I heard very loud banging on the door. I went downstairs with my gun and only put it away when I heard finn on the other side of the door yelling my name.

"What?" I asked groggily as I opened the door

"Get the fucking car. Rose needs go hospital" he told me. That was enough to wake me up. I was suddenly not tired and went to get the car. When I pulled up outside pollys House, I ran inside to get rose. She was in her room crying loudly. I picked her up with her blankets and carried her to the car

"I'm sorry rose. You'll be alright. They'll make ya better darling" I comforted her the best I could but to no avail. When we got to the hospital, they immediately took her off us and we couldn't see her. Normally I always got my way but I didn't threaten them. As much as I wanted to be with her right now, i new they needed space to save her and i couldn't jeopardise that. Arthur and John arrived at the hospital abit later on.

"Is she alright?" Arthur asked frantically

"Not heard anything" finn answered. After 4 long hours of waiting, a doctor came out and told us

"She needs her appendix removing. Now this could go perfectly fine and she could be well with no long term damage. However there is always risk of infection and this is an important surgery which will take hours. Be we need your permission to operate" they said looking at polly

"Well go and operate then. Don't wait around" she yelled at them giving her permission. John ended up taking finn home as he had kids to look after and finn was too young to be here and it not to affect him. After a few hours, we got told we could see rose. So we went into her room and she was sat up on the bed but looked very tired

"Hi love. How're you feeling?" Polly asked as she kissed her cheek

"I want ice cream" she grumbled.

"When you get out, you can have all the ice cream you want" I promised her. She smiled but closed her eyes to rest and it didn't take long before she was asleep again

After 2 days, rose was free to go. Arthur carried her to the car very carefully and also carried her out of the car. Once we were in the house, he put her on the sofa and didn't let her move.

We talked for a little while but then rose moved

"Hey!" Finn yelled as he carefully held her back

"No moving. Whatever you need, we can get ya" he told her

"Can I have water please?" She asked. Finn nodded and just as I thought he was growing up and going to do it himself, he says

"Of course. Well? Anyone gonna get her a drink" Rose rolled her eyes but I went and got her the drink.

Rose pov

It's been 2 weeks since the surgery. My brothers have been very over protective with me. It was cute at first. But then once it got the part of me needing a piss, it wasn't. They carried me to the toilet, stood outside so they would hear if I collapsed and once they heard me wash my hands, they would come in and lift me up again. It was getting on my nerves. I have spent 2 weeks not using my legs and drinking only water and eating only toast. Well I was about to kill someone

"Right, I am not 5. Thank you for worrying so much but I can take a shit without assistance" I moaned at them as I hit their arms away so I could walk by myself

"Just let us help. You could get hurt" finn said

"No. I will get more hurt if one of you trips up and I'm in your arms" I told them. That made them think and the sight was quite funny. I could almost picture the cogs in their brains trying to work together and understand what I just said. There was just one good thing about this whole thing. It had been 4 months and yet I could still yell

"Arthur, can I have some ice cream please" and the reply would always be

"Of course love". And I would get ice cream

So this was requested but I'm aware its shit. I am tired and probably should've waited til the morning when I'm refreshed and it's better but I may do something along these lines but better. 1137 words
