Tomorrow is my birthday and I'm so excited. I will officially be a teenager and I can't wait. No one had asked me what I want which is unusual but I'm guessing they have a big surprise planned for me. That's why the didn't ask. They already knew exactly what to get me. I have been begging for a puppy for years but I know that won't happen because aunt pol said no. But I got a horse for my 8th birthday. And Tommy said I can get another for my 13th. That was a year ago so I hope he remembered. But I've been giving him hints like telling him how much I love horses and if I had 2 then I could get baby horses. I think he got the message

It's 10:01pm when I come home. with finn. We had been the chippy with his friends and I begged to come. He let me but complained about it the entire way there. Eventually he realised I was here and not going away. We stumbled into the house laughing

"You're late" aunt pol said. I checked the clock

"Only by a minute" I defended

"Come on...let em off pol. Someone's got a very special day tomorrow" Arthur said grinning. I started smiling knowing what he was on about

"Oh shut up Arthur." Finn groaned

"I'm only happy for ya. Only get one first date finn" Arthur told him making me frown. Finn was going on a date? On my birthday? Oh. Well I'm sure he'll be back ready for my birthday party. Every year we go the garrison for my birthday and have a party. Its just our family but everyone's there including curly and uncle Charlie, all of John's kids, my sister in laws and cousins. It's great fun so I can't wait

"I'm going off to bed. Busy day tomorrow" I said referring to my birthday celebrations

"Why what's tomorrow?" Aunt pol teased

"Haha very funny" I said sarcastically before walking up the stairs to my room laughing. I knew I wouldn't sleep tonight in anticipation but i had to do my best and atleast try

When I woke up in the morning, I checked the clock and it was half 12. That was normal. I very rarely see the mornings since I wake up in the afternoon. I got dressed and skipped downstairs to see my family

"Sleeping beauty finally awake then" John said ruffling my hair

"Yes yes I'm awake big whoopee" I said waving my arms around sarcastically.

"So, what are we doing today?" I asked

"Well, Finns got a date. We've got work. You're free to do what you want" Arthur said sipping his tea

"Oh. Erm...Well what time are we going the garrison?" I asked

"We aren't tonight I don't think" he replied looking at John for confirmation who nodded his head in agreement

"Riigghht....Well I'm going out. Ill be back later" I told them sadly as I hurried out of the house not wanting to be there a second longer. I ran through the streets and to charlies yard where my horse was

"Hiya love. You alright?" Curly asked. I quickly wiped my tears away

"I'm taking conny for a ride. Need to clear me head" I told him getting my horse conny out if he stables. I climbed on her and didn't listen to curlys reply as i rode off away from everything.

Did I they really forget? Or is this just some elaborate scheme to get me away so they can plan a surprise party? Oh I don't know. Its all too much. I'm a teenager now. A young woman. And no one can even say as little as happy birthday. I don't care about the presents or the food or even the party. I just don't like being forgotten. Makes me feel unloved and abandoned. Onceit started going dark, I made my way back to the stable. I put conny back and kissed her nose goodbye
