Polly pov

We were all sat at the table in utter silence. Everyone knowing what needed to be said but no one having the courage to do it. Well, we all knew other than rose. We had some news which we were well aware would not go down well.

"OK someone say something before I shoot myself" Rose said as she looked at us all. No one replied

"Alright. That's it. Gimme your gun" she said looking at arthur

"Rose love, there's something we need to tell you" Arthur started

"If its that I'm adopted I already know" she said

"No its not- wait. You're not adopted. Who told you that?" Arthur said. Her mouth hung open and she turned to john and punched him in the upper arm

"Idiot" she muttered under her breath

"Anyway, you have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning" finn said

"Is this because i fainted? Because I've been fine since" she claimed. A few days ago Rose fainted. It could be because of lack of water but I just wanted to make sure everything was alright and it wasn't a sign towards a bigger problem

"We just want to make sure everythings alright which I'm sure it will be" John told her

"OK. And why did you make such a big thing about all this?" She asked

"During the appointment, you will need a blood test" Tommy finished

"What?" She asked as her natural smile dropped and her eyes stopped blinking

"It's nothing to worry about though. Everything will be fine and you won't even feel it" Michael reassured her

"Ye. It'll only hurt when they put the 8 inch needle into your arm. And if they can't find a vein, then they wiggle it about and don't even stop when your crying in agony" finn told her earning him a wack round the head from John

"Bloody idiot" I yelled at him as rose formed tears in his eyes

"Really?" She asked.

"No love. He's only tryna scare ya" Arthur told her as he hugged the shaking girl

"I'm not going" she stated

"Please sweetheart. Its for your own health. Its 2 seconds so we know you are fit and well" esme told her

"I don't care. I already know I'm fit and well and I don't need to be fucking stabbed to prove it" she raised her voice as she left the room and stormed upstairs.

"Well this should be good" finn muttered as we heard roses door slam shut

The next day, i had to drag rose to the appointment. She was very unwilling to go. Arthur had come with us because if she ran off, atleast he was stronger than her although I couldn't be too sure. The girl is freakishly strong

We were in the waiting room and rose was looking at the door

"If you're trying to think of the perfect moment to escape then don't bother. It's not gonna work" i whispered to her making her cross her arms and huff.

"Miss rose shelby" a nurse said. We stood up and followed the nurse into a room. We all took a seat as the nurse got he needle out. Rose made the mistake of looking at it

"I'm not having that thing fucking stabbing me. Av ya seen the size of it" she exclaimed her eyes wide. She stood up to leave but Arthur blocked the door.

"Sit back down" He ordered

"Please Arthur. Don't you love me even a little bit" she said with a pout. Damn it. Why did I bring Arthur? He was stronger but he was as soft as a puppy with her. I could see him about to crack so I physically pulled rose down onto the chair

"It's not that big" I told her

Rose pov

"Ye. Plus, my cock is bigger than that and I still put that in women" Arthur said causing polly to groan and me to gag

"That is the most disgusting thing you've ever said" I told him

"It's not. Just the most disgusting thing you've heard" he explained making me wack him round the head. It baffled me how he didn't realise i didn't want to hear about his cock. I thought I was making it obvious but apparently not

Polly held me down on the chair with a stern look and I was too scared to move anyway. The woman rolled my sleeve up and got the needle close to my arm. I felt something touch it and I jumped up out of my seat

"That was just the cotton" the nurse said making Arthur laugh, polly roll her eyes and me sit down embarrassed. Arthur sat next to me and held my hand whilst I buried my face in his chest

"It won't hurt. I promise" he said

"You promised I could have a puppy for Christmas and 3 years later I still havnt got one" I said

"I never specified which christmas" he defended himself. I rolled my eyes but shut them tight when I felt the needle go in. It felt really weird but didn't hurt that much at all. I don't know why I was ever worried about it

"All done" polly said to me kissing my forehead. I nodded. We thanked the nurse and quickly left. In the car, I said

"Can we go sweetshop because I was so brave?"

"I'm sorry. I forgot you were still 4" Arthur said chuckling

"I'll rephrase. Let me go the fucking sweet shop or I'll cut ya" I told him

"Now you sound like ya did when you were 6" he told me. But he stopped outside the shop anyway. He gave me money and I ran in to get a bag of sweets. They were all gone by the time we got back home. I was hungry so ate em in 5 seconds if that

"So you're still alive then?" Michael asked as he sat on the sofa

"Unfortunately" I replied sitting next to him. I rested my head on his shoulder. He had a glass of whiskey in his hand so I put my hand out next to his. He understood and put the glass in my hand

"Thanks" i said kissing his cheek. I drank the whiskey and then fell asleep on my cousins shoulder

Polly pov

After 3 days I got the results. Rose was fine just needed to drink more water. Thank god it wasn't anything more serious

A/N

I recently had a blood test and had a panick attack whilst there. It was my first ever blood test. And just wanted to let you know, doesn't hurt at all. So don't worry if you need to have one because I literally didn't feel it as long as I looked away
