Hello Annabelle! I'm not sure if you remember me...but we went to school together. I'm going to cut straight to business. Me and the lads of 5 Seconds of Summer were on YouTube watching covers, and we saw yours. They were amazing. We'll be home for a little while and we just wanted to know if you would like to meet up with us? We can do tomorrow or Saturday. Let me know what you think! Thanks!
- Ashton Irwin
Hi Ashton! Yes, I do remember you. Haha. :) And thank you very much! It means a lot. :) I can do tomorrow, where would you guys like to meet?
- Annabelle Taylor
Did 5 Seconds of Summer seriously just ask me to meet up with them through Facebook?!
I mean, I did go to school with Ashton, but, I maybe talked to him once. And it was probably that awkward 'Hey' when you pass someone in the hall and you're the only two in the hallway.
I wonder why they wanna meet?
I'm just a boring Aussie girl turned American. I was born in Australia, but moved to America when I was 2, and then moved back when I was 15. That caused me to have the worst mixture of an Australian and an American accent. I'm just trying to figure out what to figure out what I'm going to do with my life. Whether I want to go to uni, or try making it with my piano and guitar. I'm probably going to go to uni. It would be what my dad would like...
Oh, Ashton messaged back.
Sweet! Umm... how about that old diner down town, 'Cafe 50'? 1:00?
-Ash
That sounds great! See you tomorrow. :)
-Annabelle
Now, I seriously can't wait for tomorrow.
"Annie! Mum said come help with dinner!" My little brother Austin called up after me.
My room was in our finished attic and to get to it you had to pull the stairs down from the ceiling, so that was my door really. They were actually really annoying, because they were literally in the middle of my room. It only annoyed me occasionally though.
I pushed the stairs down and made my way down the stairs to find the kitchen.
My older brother, Alexander who was home from school for the summer, my dad, and step mom were in the kitchen chatting. Alex was 3 years older than me and my full brother. Our mom left us just after I was born. My dad met Lily over in America when I was about 5. Then, 3 years later, Austin came. Now, we're all one big family patched together.
"Hi daddy. Hi Lily. How was work?" I asked grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge.
"Work was work." My dad chuckled.
"I helped deliver 2 babies before I left." Lily asked.
Dad worked for an international bank in Sydney, which is how we ended up in America, and Lily worked as a labor and delivery nurse for one of the bigger hospitals.
"That's so cool!" I laughed. "
How was your day?" Lily asked.
"Well, I learned a song, and almost finished a second." I smiled.
"That's nice." She smiled.
Lily was all for me pursuing music, while my dad wanted me to go for business or medicine or something.
"Well, would you and Alex go to the dining room and set the table?" My dad asked as he attended to the food on stove.
"Sure. Come on Ali." I smiled.
