As you looked around the long hallways of what was, and always will be Hogwarts, you began to question why you were there, the cold feeling of nothing being present wherever you went. Students ran when you tried to speak to them, teachers weren't able to see you,or chose to ignore you, all you had was a mirror, the mirror of erised. A gift from your father who you hadn't seen in months now, the only thing you ever had to see his face, as his voice was the only thing you'd ever been able to recognize. You held it dearly in your arms as you walked around, wearing Slytherin robes as you'd picked them up, it being an effective way to stop soon from running away or looking at you in horror. You never known what you've done nor what you've been doing, as all you tried to do was speak to someone, ask them where your father was, hoping someone could answer your questions as that was all you had left in your head. As everyone began walking to their classes you found yourself slip into a nearby room as students begin to push against you and herd you into the room, soon giving in and sitting down. You looked up as a dark man began to speak, you only listened as you grabbed a nearby book, quickly flipping through it as you soon began writing notes on empty sides of the pages you'd heard him mention to flip to before the lesson had started. You watched as a few heads turned to you, your slow voice having only been heard a few rows in front of you, though big enough to catch the attention of the teacher. "What are we doing..?" You quietly repeated as you could see him look at you in confusion and irritation as he began sarcastically repeating what he'd previously said, you clearly missing the tone as you thanked him, following the instructions as you'd earned a few side eyes from the students around you. "Aren't you a little small to be Fourth year?"You heard a student shout as he looked at you, standing up from his seat to reveal his rather pale complexion, blonde with blue eyes. "I.. don't think so.." you said, attempting to speed up your speech as you were now confused, having forgotten where you'd been all those months. "It seems we have a misplaced student.. I'll reach professor McGonagall shortly.." you heard him say as he walked out, leaving you to look around through the fuzzy vision you'd accommodated with your low drooping hair. You slowly put the book into your bag as well as a few other things you found on the desk, soon hearing someone enter the room. "Professor Snape, I assure you there are no misplaced students, and if there is i'll be sure to speak with them on their schedule and placement"you heard a female voice say as she walked up to you, "now, who might you be?" You looked up to see one of the headmasters, notably being gryffindor's and who you'd assumed to be Miss McGonagall. "I.. uh .. I'm.. my name... I..." You stuttered as you were at a loss for words, not having asked such a question to anyone nor to yourself in such an oddly long time. You went quiet as you tightly hugged the mirror, begining to cry out of habit. "That's enough... we'll contact any of your guardians within our reach..but for now, you'll stay here"she said calmly as you allowed yourself to sit back down, quickly putting your mirror away for safe keeping. "M-malfoy!" You quickly sputtered out as you'd remembered one of your friends shouting your name for you to come back, though you didn't ponder on the memory as it confused you too much. "M-my name is Malfoy.." you quietly repeated as the lady nodded and turned back around, everyone now looking at you as if you were insane, especially the blonde boy. As the lesson continued you found yourself refraining from rising as you'd always had trouble staying close to the ground, you loving the free feeling of floating, though having the occasional object fall through you wasn't as pleasant, you couldn't argue with that. You continued to jot down notes as you began to mix a potion together, memorizing everything you put in, everything that was instructed, everything that caught your eye or seemed important. You didn't quite understand what you were doing, only that you were doing it correctly, and that was what made you happy, though subconsciously you'd allowed yourself to slip a few inches off the ground in your rush to grab ingredients. "No incantations in my class." You heard Snape speak as he pushed you to the floor and held out his hand,"your wand,'malfoy' " he said firmly as you Quietly nodded no. "Excuse me? I've asked for your wand and I expect you to hand it to me." He continued as everyone looked at you in astonishment at your calm expression,"I don't have one.." you said calmly as you remembered you'd lost it in the lake the day someone had called your name, the only name you'd ever known. "You.. don't have one.?" He said questioningly as he closely inspected your lowly draped hair, your tidy robe and your clam appearance, not having hesitated on anything other than answers. "Is your name..Salazar...Malfoy..?" He said slowly as you instantly nodded, having found the name that had always slipped your grasp no matter what. "Perhaps it'd be good if we step outside for a moment.."he calmly said as the students began whispering and backing away as you walked out with the teacher. "You should be in the astronomy tower, wait there.." he said as you nodded and skipped off through the hallways, sitting down as soon as you got there.
