chapter 6

me and billie looked at eachother after he asked that, trying to figure out each others answers in our heads

i look away from her and put my full attention on her manager. "are you being serious about this?" i ask.

"yes i am, and kyle here showed me a song you have been working on, i think your voices would match perfectly." he replied, looking over at billie.

we all looked over at billie and she looks like she is really contemplating on it.

"sure, but i think me and kai should practice a couple songs beforehand," she looks over at me. "if that's okay with you."

"i was gonna say the same thing." i reply.

"i can't wait for you guys to sing together, especially since she is your idol and celeb crush, kai." marissa says, interrupting me and billie looking at eachother.

"not you exposing me," i glanced at her while nervously laughing. "but yea i'd love to do it."

billie giggles, "awww kai has a little crush on me? how cute." she says, while grabbing my hand, squeezing it.

"more like a big crush." marissa blurted.

"shush it." i said, and glared at marissa. she really exposing me and shit. i glance at billie and her cheeks turn a little red.

"alright well, do you mind if you guys head out of the room? i'd like to talk to kyle in private." her manager says.

"no problem." i say while getting up.

billie and marissa follow me out and i go straight to the breakfast area to get some coffee. while i get a cup, i look over and see billie on a couch on the other side of the room on her phone. marissa walks up behind me to grab an orange.

"bro billie has a crush on you." marissa whispers in my ear.

"you wish." i reply.

i finish making my coffee and walk over to the same couch billie is at. i sit down right next to her.

"you want me to make you anything?" i ask her.

"no i'm good, but what's your instagram?" she replies.

"here, i'll put it in your phone."

she hands me her phone and i enter my username. she then scrolls through my photos and videos of me singing.

i look over at her face and she has an amused look on her face.

"kai, your voice is so beautiful." she says, then looks over to me.

"not as beautiful as yours, eilish." i smirk at her.

we then look at eachother for it felt like a whole minute, then she set her phone down and laid her head on my shoulder.

"i'm exhausted." she says, while snuggling into my arm.

"you'll eventually get to sleep on the bus love." i reply, leaning my head on the top of her head.

the conference room doors open and her manager, steve came out with kyle behind him, laughing.

i sat my head up, "you guys best buds now?" i ask them.

billie sat up straight, and i miss her weight on my shoulders.

"maybe," said steve, "we should get going though, billie your parents are in the bus with the rest of the team, we can head to your bus now."

"alright let's go." billie said while standing up and putting her arms over her head.

we walk to the bus and we follow steve into the bus. and when i tell you that place was huge and beautiful, i mean that shit.

"wow." said marissa, stunned.

"this is cozy isn't it?" i said in amusement.

"it gets boring after a while," billie said while sitting down on one of their many couches, "make yourself at home."

"is there actually a bunk i could crash in? i'm tired as shit." i said.

"yea i'll show you yours." billie said, getting up and making me follow her to a room full of bunks.

"this one is mine, and right below it is yours." she says, pointing to mine.

"YES. thank you billie, for everything." i tell her, giving her a little smile.

"you don't have to thank me, love." billie said, giving me a quick hug. "you can go to sleep."

"you should too though, i mean you have a show tonight." i tell her.

"i will eventually," she said, she leans over and turns my head to the side while grabbing my chin, and pecks my cheek. "sleep well cutie."

i can feel myself blushing HARD. so i turn away and start entering the bunk.

"aww your face is cute when you blush." said billie, with a little giggle.

"what? i'm not blushing." i lied.

"mhm." billie said, then she started walking out giggling.

oh god is this girl gonna be the death of me.
