chapter 14

"holy shit, what's on your mind today? you're being aggressive as shit with everyone" jason, my martial arts coach, said as i was practicing my kicks.

"people. some people are just annoying as fuck." i said.

"alright well we been at this for four hours already, so you should go back to kyle" he said.

"fine." i say.

i walk over to the locker rooms and take a quick shower, then put on my clothes. it's the day after that confrontation with Q and it's really been getting on my nerves. i told billie and her team about it so they can keep on eye for suspicious people and him. we're trying to keep a low profile to try not to make matters worse. luckily i called jason in so that i can train.

i check my phone and see that i have a text from billie.

i miss you
we're on the way to the arena for tonight's show
text me when you're done❤️

i reply back with "hey baby" and she calls me two seconds after i send it.

"hey handsome" i hear her blush through the phone.

"hey beautiful, i'm about to be on my way there in ten minutes, i miss your face" i say, as i grab my duffel bag and carry it though the hallway.

"i miss you so much, by the way, i don't think kyle knew you were training today, he seems very antsy to talk to you" she said.

"alright i'll give him a call. thank you baby"

"of course," there was a brief pause as i hear finneas tell her they're ready to stretch before the performance, "i have to go baby, be safe."

"i will baby, have fun"

she hangs up and i walk out to see that kyle is picking me up, i throw the duffel bag in his trunk and hop in the passenger seat.

"KAI GUESS WHAT?!" he yells as i get in the car.

"WHAT" i reply in the same energy.

"ALL OF YOUR SONGS ARE ON THE TOP 10 EVERYWHERE!" he starts to clap.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?" i say.

"YES!"

this is the greatest accomplishment i've ever had in my entire life, and i've never been more excited to tell billie and marissa.

i arrive at the arena and multiple fans surround the car pointing cameras, the windows are tinted so i don't think they can tell it's me. the security guard opens my door and fans start to yell.

"OH MY GOD KAI"

"I LOVE YOU"

"ARE YOU DATING BILLIE?"

"YOU AND BILLIE ARE SO CUTE"

i gave them all a smile and took a couple pictures with some fans, then i started to walk inside. i follow kyle to my green room and as i walk inside, the room is pitch black.

"this looks like part of a horror movie or some shit" i say.

i hear a little giggle, which makes me turn on the light.

"SURPRISE!"

i immediately jump in my fighting form and look to see who's around. i see maggie, patrick, billies manager, billie, finneas, claudia, and marissa.

"guys what the FUCK" i say, starting to laugh.

billie runs up and wraps her arms around my neck. finneas and claudia join the hug. finneas let's go and starts blowing an air horn.
