chapter 20

"you made me hate this city!" me and billie sing along with the fans.

me and billie were finishing up her song while the fans sang with us.

so far, we haven't had any incidents happen. this is the best performance me or billie have ever done together and i love it. i want to sing with her more often.

we finished up happier than ever than we started to finish up tonight's show. me and billie ran up to where we slide down the stage.

before we slid down, i motioned finneas to come over, and me, billie and finneas all had a group hug. we let go and billie's eyes looked watery. i'm hoping that they're happy tears.

we slid down the stage and got up to air hug the fans.

"you guys are the best, i love you all!" i yell into the mic.

i felt fingers intertwine with mine, and i recognize that it's billies hand. she throws our hands up in the air, and then we bow.

we all run off stage and right as we go in the back, billie kisses me hard.

"bro that was fucking amazing performing with you. we need to write a song together." she said, while holding my face.

"yes we do baby. i think this was the best performance we've had together to be honest with you" i replied.

"yes for sure." she said, smiling. she hugged me after that.

marissa came running over, and joined our hug.

"you guys did so well. are you guys gonna perform at the grammys together?" marissa asks.

"probably not, i'm a brand new artist and they focus on last years songs, and only the artists featuring in that song" i told her, after we let go.

"i wish we could perform together, everyone loves to have kai sing with me" billie said.

"hey, next year for sure baby" i said, and i gave her a smile.

we walked into the green room with billies family and kyle. they all looked so happy, so i'm assuming that nothing has happened tonight.

"you guys did so well." maggie said, and gave me a hug.

"you're the best mags." i told her.

"billie, you ready for the grammys tomorrow?" i hear finneas ask billie.

"ugh, that event irritates my soul, honestly. but i get to perform again so i guess so. is kai invited?" billie asks.

"yes, i got to speak to the manager of the Recording Academy and he said that he wanted kai to come. so yes, kai will be attending." kyle says.

"YES! i've always wanted to go!" i say.

"i can't wait for you to join us" finneas says, and gives me a high five.

"me too, you better wear a good ass outfit too or otherwise someone on tiktok will probably rate you on the 'worst dressed list'" billie said.

"that's annoying. your outfits are always spot on" i tell her, putting an arm around her waist.

billie giggles and wraps her arm around my shoulder.

"how about we go pick up some food and go back to the hotel and get a good nights sleep for tomorrow?" maggie suggests.

"yes, as long as we get taco bell" billie says.

"oh my god" patrick, claudia, and finneas say in sync.

"what? that shits' fire." billie says as we all walk out of the room.

"not gonna lie, these bean burritos are FIRE." i say, as i'm laying in bed with billie. we're watching the office while eating some taco bell. billie looks very intrigued in her burritos and the show.

"i told you" she said, about two minutes later after i said something.

"huh?" i ask her.

"what?" she asks, turning her head towards me.

"why'd you say 'i told you'" i ask, genuinely confused.

"i was replying to you?" she says, starting to laugh.

"bruh i said that like five minutes ago. you were so invested in those burritos and the show" i said, laughing back.

"cuz they're sooooo good." she says.

i look at my watch and realize that it's 2 am.

"baby, we should probably get some sleep. we have a big day tomorrow and it's already late as shit." i say, getting up to get ready for the night.

"ugh, but i just wanna kiss youuuu" she said, following me into the bathroom.

"mmmm no, bean breath mother fucker" i said, jokingly.

i rinse my toothbrush, put toothpaste on it, then rinse it again. as i was putting it in my mouth, i looked in the reflection of the mirror, then immediately i felt a hand grab the back of my neck and another one on my hand holding the toothbrush.

she immediately pushed my neck down and my other hand holding the toothbrush up. i started gagging then shoved her out of the way.

i slowly turned towards her as she was laughing her ass off.

"i bet you'd be good at sucking dick ORRRR strap, not gonna lie" she said.

i turned on the water and started slapping some towards her face.

"okay i guess i deserve that" she said, she started to brush her teeth after i got done, then i started washing my face.

i started walking out of the back room and in a mocking/ singing voice i said, "just fucking leave me aloooooooone"

she laughed at that, and as she finished up, she turned off the lights and got under the covers, laying on top of me.

she then gave me a passionate kiss and asked me, "can we make out for a while?"

"bruh, we needa sleep" i said.

"i know," she said. she put her hand underneath my shirt and grabbed onto my hip, "but i really want to kiss you for a little bit."

i looked at her through the moonlight and was fixed on her beautiful eyes, they beamed in the light. i then looked at her lips.

as much as i wanted to sleep because i was exhausted from tonight, i attached my lips to hers.
