Amory

Harsh knockings could be heard from the door, alerting me and putting me even more on the edge. My body felt weird and hot, making me want to open the door even more. I looked at Cyrene who just blinked at me in response. Was it okay to open the door or not?

After a few seconds of hesitation, I swung the door open. Sweat fell from my eye lids as I looked at the attractive beast in front of me. Kano's dark curly hair hung at the front of his forehead, and his golden eyes were out for anyone to see. His lips were scrunched and serious as he looked down at me.

He opened his mouth first, "What's wrong with you?" He asked. His hand swooped down to my waist in an instant, confusing me. His finger tips dug into the flesh of my waist, and I did my best to hide my sexual frustration.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I mustered the words up in ease. In all honesty, I felt hot. I felt sick enough to the point that I needed to lay down. It was so hot that taking a cold bath would feel like the best damn thing in the world to me. I took a deep breath to control my sexual urges and put up a front.

His head suddenly angled down, and his hand pushed me closer to him. My body was betraying me. I would never forget how mad I was at him, but my body... my body forgot easily.

Cyrene's voice suddenly popped up, "Amory are you..." she walked over to me then put her hand on my arm. "You're burning up." She told me.

"I don't know what you mean." I said back to her, "I feel perfectly fine." A dull ache settled in between my legs and I looked back up to Kano. My wolf was growling at me to jump him, but the human side of me was persistent in knowing that now was not the time, especially with the Alpha King's warriors here.

"She's right. You are burning up." Kano's voice was rough and deep. Almost tantalizing.

"I said I was fine, besides, we have the Alpha King's warriors to worry about. We can worry about me later." I told them. Kano gave me a strange look but I ignored it. Why was he even here in the first place?

"No. We can't ignore it because that means your in heat. Werewolves don't just get sick, that's a human thing." Cyrene said quickly, "I didn't think your heat would come, but it seems that the stress has made it come quicker then I expected." She grabbed my hand, pulling me away from Kano. A hard growl escaped Kano's lips. "Shut it Kano, you know I won't hurt her." Cyrene said quickly.

"What are you doing?" I asked her. She started to pull me to a random closet in the hallway.

"You and Kano need to get out of here. Your smell is going to get stronger and stronger, and soon the whole Academy and its males will be able to smell you, which means that the warriors will too. Then they'll know a mate pair is here, which can not happen." She opened the closet door and took out a black bag.

"What is all this talk about Alpha warriors. I don't understand anything that's happening at all." Kano's deep voice spoke up. I glanced over to him, then to Cyrene. I believed that we were mates now, especially from the heat. I had not voiced to him that we were mates yet, and I still did not want to. With him knowing that we were mates, every truth would have to come out, and I was not ready for that.

"Long story short the Alpha warriors will kill her if they find Amory here." Cyrene said quickly. Kano stood still. He didn't move, and I didn't know why.

"Cyrene." I stopped her from getting the bag out. "Griffin told me to stay here and protect you." I said quickly, "I don't want to disobey him, even if he didn't use the Alpha command." She squinted her eyes at me. "Plus your pregnant, if the council finds anything about you, they won't hesitate to kill you and that baby." I looked down to her belly.
