Chapter 13

Bali

I watched my brother pace around my bed, his hands clutching his head while my Father began to yell at him in a hushed voice.

"Are you an idiot? How long have you guys known you were mates?" He whisper yelled. Kano's squinted his eyes at our father and held back a snarl.

"Since the beginning of the Academy year." He said sheepishly. I groaned and pulled the pillow above my ears, they were getting really annoying.

My Father sighed for a second, then yelled, "Son? You've known for more than a month and a half and just now want to say something? Hmmm? That she-wolf will hurt you and our pack."

"Don't get mad at me. At least I didn't have two she-wolves pregnant at the same time." Kano put his hands into fist. "You know how hard the mate pull is."

"She's a weakness to your wolf and I won't have it. You haven't even completed the mating process. It makes your wolf an idiot after fighting it for so long."

Kano growled at him, "Do you want me to mate her or not?"

"How did she even get through her heat? How did you get through her heat? You would of had the overbearing instinct to mate with her or something. Are you dumb?"

"It's called self-control. Something you apparently never had." Kano said with a side glance, "I kept myself away from her. Her smell was just too much, it agitated my wolf. So I made sure that we were in separate rooms."

I cut in, "Father. Do you want him to mate with her or not. You're not being clear at all." I ignored the pains of my abdomen as I spoke.

Father became quiet for a few seconds, "You need to mate with her as soon as you can or your wolves will not be under control. That's why she was able to rip through Bali with no hesitation. She was just like your mother, Kano. And you won't fair any better. I see the harsh looks you give Alpha Isla's kid."

Kano grumbled to himself, "I'll mate with her for the family and for my wolf. But that would put her and us in danger. I don't want to have another incident like mother's happening."

"You'll find yourself wanting to mate with her on your own, kid. She's your soulmate for a reason, not because the moon goddess just said so." Father was always wise when it came to being in line with his wolf and human mind.

I decided to ask the question that was probing my mind,"Father? Why did you want me to fight Amory?" He gave me a deshiveled look, then sighed.

"I wanted to brag to Amory's Father that my daughter beat his in a fight. Her father isn't a kind man, and he doesn't like women to be representatives of his pack. I didn't think Amory had any good fighting skills." He admitted.

I wanted to chuckle but knew it would hurt to do so, "You know she's the top female in our Academy right?" I said. Kano gave me an annoyed look that said he didn't want to talk about her anymore. "She'll probably beat my ass back and fourth if I'm not careful."

"Ow! Shit. Fuck!" I yelped as Jaxon poured the rubbing alcohol over the large, inflamed wound. My hands squeezed the chair's arm rest in an attempt to keep myself still.

"Have you never used rubbing Alcohol on a wound before?" Jaxon chuckled, but I saw the worried gaze he gave me.

"No!" I yelped again as the stinging became intense again. "What the hell does that even do?" I asked.

"It keeps the bacteria away so you don't get an infection." He told me, "You aren't that familiar with the human world are you?" I gave him a shake of my head.
