By the time Kelsey's dad had come to Kano's room, he was partially healed. It was surprising to see the effects of a mate bite to an injured mate. The results were extraordinarily fast compared to the healing rate of a normal full grown Alpha blooded male.
Kelsey's dad was confused, seeing as he had heard that Kano was heavily injured. We just told him that cleaning the injuries made them look a lot better than they seemed to be originally.
I could see him notice the bite mark on Kano's neck, but he didn't say anything. Instead, he used his affinity to heal Kano in the spots left over. Which was mainly his back and face. That seemed to help Kano a lot, because he seemed to finally relax.
I felt like I was so shocked by everything happening that I didn't even care that Kelsey was touching Kano. She was learning from her dad on treating werewolves. Usually, my wolf would flip, but it seemed that Kano's selfless act today seemed to satiate her. She was eerily quiet and content.
For the first time in forever, I didn't have my wolf's thoughts pressing so hard against my own.
While Kano was finishing his treatment, I remained leaning against a wall in the room. Just observing everything. Bali was next to Kelsey making sure Kano was doing alright, while Hati was standing post by the door. I found myself wanting to leave because I felt useless, then figured Kano probably wanted me where he could see me, especially since I knew he had to be stressed.
I mean his Father did just basically kick him out of the pack. I know my mind would be reeling if my father had done that to me.
When Kelsey and her dad finally finished, they left the room. It was very late and I figured everyone needed to wind down from tonight's events. Hati and Bali stayed behind.
Hati closed Kano's door, making sure that only the four of us were allowed within the closed area. Kano was still on the chair, but he looked far more relaxed than he did earlier. They had cleaned him and given him some ointment to speed up the healing process.
"So...." Hati started, "What's the plan?" I rolled my eyes at him. Didn't he just get Alpha commanded that he couldn't leave the pack? Bali did too. The only people who would be leaving to go to my pack was Kano and I.
The only problem was that it was for sure unsafe. Two wolves together running through rogue territory could easily spell trouble.
"Amory and I will leave in the morning." Kano said, getting up from his chair. The muscles of his back flexed before he stiffened. I wondered if he was really fine or if he was still in a little pain.
Bali let out a small another breath, "You can't really just leave. It'll be unsafe. How far is Amory's territory anyway?" She asked.
"About a days worth of running." I said, crossing my arms, "Bali's right. You're still injured-."
"I feel fine." Kano spat out.
"-and it'll only be the two of us. We do need a plan on how we'll get to my pack. Hati and Bali can't come because they were ordered to stay by your Father."
"I..." Kano put his hands on his face, "I can solve that. I can over ride his order." He admitted. He could what? What did he mean?
"What?" I asked.
"I felt it when I had an argument with Griffin. I couldn't override Griffin's order thought because we were technically at the same stat. But I can somehow override my dad's. I felt it when his Alpha command didn't work on me." He rolled his neck then made his way to his bed.
"But we aren't mated. You shouldn't have that capability." I admitted. It didn't make sense. I thought only true mated males would have that ability. Kano and I haven't finished the mating process, so him being able to do that just didn't make any sense.
