Yuri's POV

"Where is that Brian? That rascal promised to pick me up from the airport, and now he's got me waiting for a whole damn hour!" I muttered, irritation bubbling within me.

"This is ridiculous. Where's his number?" I rummaged through my bag, finally retrieving one of his letters with his number scrawled on it.

'Hold on a sec, do I even have a working SIM card in LA?'

For those who might be a bit puzzled, let me clarify: Brian, Romie, and I are besties for life. I haven't seen them in three long years.

I glanced around the bustling airport and approached one of the attendants. "Excuse me."

The woman looked at me, curious. "Yes?"

"Could I borrow your phone for a moment? I need to make a call," I requested.

"Of course." She handed me her phone. I quickly dialed Brian's number, and after a few rings, he picked up.

(Yuri's Attire)

"Hello! Who's this?" a male voice greeted.

"Youuuu bastard!! Where in the hell are you?!" I yelled, drawing curious looks from people around me, but I couldn't care less.

"Hey, Yuri! Babe, how are you?" Brian greeted me cheerfully.

"Babe my ass! Why aren't you here at the airport picking me up?" I huffed annoyed.

"I thought you were coming on Friday?" he asked confused.

"Today IS Friday," I replied, frustration evident in my voice, and he laughed.

"I'm sorry. I'm kinda busy. I'll message you the location. Can you come by yourself?" he asked.

"Now, aren't you a great friend? I just arrived in LA, and you want ME to come to YOU?!" I asked, clearly annoyed. In the background, I heard a girl say, "Here's your sandwich."

"You jerk!! You chose a girl over me?! Wait for me!! I'll come over there and murder you myself!" I cut the call and returned the phone to the attendant, storming out of the airport.

I found myself without a car, and taking a taxi didn't appeal to me either.

Scanning the surroundings, my eyes locked onto a sleek black Mitsubishi Lancer. A guy had just stepped out of it, and I approached him, offering some cash.

"Hey! What's this for?" he asked, puzzled, as I casually took his keys.

"It's mine now," I replied with a mischievous grin, placing my luggage on the passenger seat, and then driving away.
