Gwen tried to get rid of all her thoughts by studying and with music, but nothing seemed to be working. Her head was just filled with Hunter. Gwen played with her bracelet, then began scratching her head.
While sitting at the computer, Cam turned around to check on his younger sister. He could see how stressed she was. Cam stood up and walked over to her. He grabbed her books and pushed them aside. He sat down next to her and rested his arm on the table. "What's going on? It feels like you're stressing out a lot more these days." Cam said.
Gwen took off her headphones and began playing with her bracelet. She crawled into a ball, resting her chin on her knees. "I think I like someone." She finally admitted.
Cam's eyes widened. He shook his head and looked at her confused. "Really?" He asked. Gwen nodded her head. "I thought you weren't ready for a relationship?"
"I'm not. And I don't know when I will be. And I'm questioning why I'm being like this." She awkwardly laughed.
Cam frowned. "Why are you questioning it?"
"Because I'm scared. I don't want what happened with Peter to happen again. It was already hard enough becoming friends with Tori, Shane, and Dustin. I'm just going to be putting myself through more pain with Hunter. It's so frustrating."
Gwen rested her head back on the table, covering her face with her arms. Cam could see her red ears peaking out. "You really must like this guy."
Gwen nodded her head. "And it frightens me. Why am I like this? It's like I'm broken."
Cam grabbed har arms and lifted her back up. Gwen leaned her head against his shoulder. Cam wrapped an arm around her. "You're not broken. And it's okay to be scared. You have every right to be."
"I really wish I wasn't." Gwen mumbled.
"Do you really expect the same thing that happened with Peter to happen with this Hunter guy?" Cam asked. Gwen shrugged her shoulders. Cam sighed. "Try and give him a chance. Just take it slow. I'm sure you'll finally realize what to do when you're ready."
The two heard heard heavy footsteps running down the stairs. The looked over and saw Tori running over to them in a panic. "Guys! I need your help outside!"
"Wrong time to ask for help." Cam said sarcastically. Gwen shoved the side of his stomach. He flinched in pain.
"It's an emergency! My friend, he's hurt."
Cam stood up in a panic. "And you brought him here?" He asked. "Have you ever heard of a hospital?"
"I know. I know. But, he was hurt because of me. Please come look at him?" Tori begged. "It was one of Lothor's space freaks. We have to help him."
Cam sighed. "Alright." He turned around and grabbed Gwen's hand, helping her up on her feet.
The three of them ran back outside and found Blake laying on the floor unconscious. "This guy definitely has a thing or you." Gwen muttered.
"There's no time for jokes. Help me out here." Cam scolded.
Gwen rolled her eyes and leaned down. She grabbed one of the leaches off Blake and put it on the floor. "What are those things?" Tori asked.
"Some kind of cybernetic leach." Cam said.
"Looks like they dehydrate the human body until it shuts down. Which is what happened here." Gwen said.
"Did you get them off in time?" Tori asked.
Gwen leaned over and felt for a pulse. "I think so." She answered.
