Growing up in a ninja school had its perks. Being able to learn martial arts, having a father as the sensei, and being able to live a good, safe life. Gwen loved her life. She loved her brother, and she loved her father.

But of course the only downside to it was losing her mother at an early age. Though she didn't remember her much, Gwen knew that her mother was in a much better place. And that her mother would be happier knowing her children were raised in a safe environment.

Being a student at the academy would have been a nice experience. But because of their mothers dying wish, their father forbid them prom participating in any of the classes and becoming ninjas. But he taught them martial arts anyways.

For Gwen, it frustrated her when she was a lot younger. It was something she really wanted. She wanted to continue the family tradition. But she was lucky enough the find something else.

Her true passion, sports, specifically track. Of course, she would help out at the academy every once in a while, hanging around most with Cameron. But because of her love for running, she was able to become friends with Tori, Shane, and Dustin. Thought it wasn't easy at first, considering the major trust issues she had, but they eventually warmed up to her.

Her father was quite happy with her decision, making it easier to fulfill his wife's wish. So sending her off to go to a normal school wasn't such a bad idea for him. And she quite liked the idea herself. Cam never really got over it.

The day the academy was raided, Gwen just happened to be walking in the woods with her brother. So when the two suddenly saw the academy slowly disappearing, they ran off to try and help. But the two were late. All the students were gone, as so was the academy.

The other three eventually found the two, where they were then led underground in the secret base, where they found their sensei transformed into guinea pig. As confused as they were, they were revealed of the truth.

Their sensei handed them the morphers. Cameron not really liking of the idea made a few rude comments about them, which ended up with him getting punched in the stomach by Gwen.

As the three fought, Gwen and Cam watched from afar and lead them through the process.

From then on, this would lead to their journey of defeating Lothor and saving the world, making new friends along they way, and struggling to accept others.
