Chapter Twenty-two
Billie realized that he was not among the world of the dead, nor was he in the world of the living. There were all sorts of creatures around him and he felt that this place was evil. He had no memory of what has happened. He has been warned not to trail off on the roads that lead to wayfarer on the lake, unless he was called as even the dead can still be tormented.
Unfortunately it was in Billie’s nature that he never took a warning seriously. An ugly looking demonic creature started throwing stones at him. Billie reacted and felt hate towards the creature in front of him. He wished he could strangle that creature but he feared its sharp ugly teeth and he knew that although he was a ghost the creature could hurt him.
“The lord wants to see you. Follow me.”-the creature said in a squeaky and very ugly noise.
Billie was disgusted by he not no option then to follow the creature. On his way to the Lord he saw how people were reviving their cruel deaths again and again. Others were being cooked in hot lava and screamed in pain. Now it was clear to him, the place where he had arrived was Hell.
After what seemed like a march forever the creature rang a bell at a gate and left Billie along. A man with black hair and red eyes greeted him and his shadow showed a winged man with horns.
“I see you have reached me safely?”-the man said in very cunning voice.
“Yes but I still don’t know why I’m here.”-Billie sad trying not to let the man notice his fear.
“I have heard that many times and I can assure you Billie that no one enters this place without a reason.”-the man answered.
“Who are you and what do you want from me?”-Billie asked.
“Come on; don’t tell me that you don’t know me. I have many names and I’m the fallen angel known by many different names in different cultures.”-The man said and invited Billie into his house.
“Lucifer?”-Billie asked.
“Yes, that is one of my names. You can also call me Devil, Hades or Satan.”-The man said smiling at him.
“I don’t want to be here, can you send me back to where I was?”-Billie asked as he didn’t want to be caught in Hell.
“No but my friend I have an offer for you and you know that everything has a price.”-The Devil answered.
“What offer?”-Billie was curious.
“Bring me a soul and you can be live on Earth as a human.”-The Devil stated.
“Why can’t it be mine?”-Billie asked.
“That’s simple my friend. Yours is already in my possession, the vampire has gifted it to me.”-The Devil stated with a wicked grin.
“I don’t understand.”-Billie stated confused.
“Every human that becomes a vampire, unknowingly makes a pact with me and my gift to them is immortality and eternal youth.”- The Devil answered.
“How would I get a soul and become human?”-Billie asked.
“My friend you need to offer me someone’s soul and I will allow you to live in that person’s body.”-The Devil answered.
“How much time do I have?”-Billie asked.
“You don’t have much because the time here is different than in the other worlds. You have five seconds to think and decide or I will lock in a cage between the worlds. Between the worlds, there is no escape and no one can save you.”-The Devil answered and handed Billie a stopwatch and left him alone.
