Chapter Fifteen

Esmeralda and Annie have become very close friends ever since they met at Cora’s grave. Fred has told Brat about the found friendship of his girlfriend. Brat informed Mimi, that Annie seems to be on a good path, making friends with new people and moving on. Mimi began to suspect that Annie was hanging out with a vampire and asked Pinkie to be alert.  “Why should I watch who that bitch is hanging out with?”-Pinkie protested. “Chill Pinkie, it’s for all our safety.  If Annie’s new friend is what I think she is, we got a problem.”-Mimi tried to convince. “No, no, the only one who got a problem with vampires in town is you.”-Pinkie said stern.  “Oh come on. What if someone close to you is bitten by those monsters?”- Mimi conveyed. “Ok, I’ll watch on the new girl with one condition.”- Pinkie gave in. “And that is?”-Mimi asked trying not to sound pissed. “I don’t want the moonlight to affect me for at least nine months.”-Pinkie answered. “Are you pregnant or what?”-Mimi asked surprised. “Yes.”-Pinkie replied.  “Is that why you thought with voodoo you might be able to become a normal human?”- Mimi asked.  “Yes, I want to be good mother.”-Pinkie said annoyed.  “I will think of something and you tell me I my senses are right.”-Mimi suggested smiling charmingly. No one was able to contradict that charming smile, almost evil, of her.

Esmeralda was laying in bed and watching TV as the lights started flickering. “Who is there?”-She she shouted. “Sorry, didn’t want to scare you pretty.”-Viktor answered softly appearing in front of her. “What brings you here? Can’t you haunt ordinary people when you get bored?”-Esmeralda asked him.  “What brings me here? I’m just curious.  Haunting ordinary people is more boring than being bored.”-Viktor answered in charming tone grinning.  “You are not curious and never were. All has a reason and plan but never curiosity.”-Esmeralda contradicted him. “Wow, I’m really surprised. For someone that hasn’t seen in almost four centuries, you still know me well.”-Viktor exclaimed and clapped. “Idiot, you forgot that I have been madly in love with you.”-Esmeralda hissed at him.  “Bla, bla. I think Sven has followed you.”-Viktor said stern. “Argh, shit!”-Esmeralda shouted and took a blood bag from the fridge and started drinking hasty. “I see you have become civilized like you used to be when I met you.”-Viktor commented and pointed at her meal.  “I have only killed people to annoy Sven.”-Esmeralda stated feeling insulted. “Hmm. How are things with my witch?”- Viktor enquired.  “I’m friends with her half sister, who wants to find out how her friend has died.”-Esmeralda informed.  “I know how she died. It was so nice.”-Viktor said mocking. “Did you kill her?”-Esmeralda asked furious. “No, it was your friend’s ex. It was my mistake; I should have let that jerk die. I killed after he had taken Cora’s life.”-Viktor stated shaking his head.  “Oh no, you are not regretting it all. You wanted to use that boy and kill him.”-Esmeralda commented. “You are right; I didn’t like Billie at all.”-Viktor answered smiling.  “That’s really a bad game Viktor.”-Esmeralda exclaimed.  “If you want to torture someone then pick your friend’s boyfriend. Get details and tell her what you found out.”-Viktor suggested and vanished.

Pete was through difficult phase, fed up of Lana and not seeing her anymore. He was also confused with his sexuality. He was working in mechanics workshop for bikes and cars. As one day, Jason came in, he had problem with his Chevrolet. Jason was half Scottish and half South African; he had a beautiful brown skin and a face similar to Will Smith, except that he had green eyes and brown hair. Everyone knew that he was gay; the way he dressed just showed it.  His cloths were elegant shirts and jeans to which he loved to combine with high heels.  Pete has been eyeing him since a while and thought he was interesting.  After Pete had repaired Jason’s Chevy, Jason noticed that he was a bit down. “Hey Pete, would you to have a drink with me sometime?”-Jason asked winking at him. What the hell did the faggot just ask him? He was confused. “Well Jason, I don’t really know.”-Pete muttered.  “No, I insist. I sense something sweetie and need you need some change.”-Jason said charmingly and kind of gay like.  “Thanks but I’m ok.”-Pete said trying to smile.  “No, you are not. I’m sorry about your friend and you breaking up with your fiancé but I have also lost someone one New Year.”-Jason conveyed with a pleading look in his eyes.  “Who have you lost on New Year?”-Pete asked almost annoyed. “Well, your cousin Billie has been a good friend of my ex and me. I heard he is dead too.”-Jason said sadly.  “Ok, Jason, I will have a drink with you at 8 pm just come over to my place with beer.”-Pete said and seemed pleased. “Not beer! Do you mind if I bring vodka instead?”-Jason asked almost childishly. “Just bring whatever you like.”-Pete muttered.  “Ok, then till later sweetie.”-Jason said satisfied, walking off in a pretention catwalk.

Sven was sitting in his garden and looking at the stars as he noticed someone coming. It was Mary. Mary was one of the first vampires that he has turned and she never left his side. She knew his plans always beforehand.  She had dark red hair, a light brown skin and yellow glowing eyes; her expression was almost always fierce. “Do tell me, that you heading to Scotland.”-Mary said rudely.  “Mary, I am.”-Sven stated. “But why? You should be happy that Spaniard bitch isn’t here with us anymore.”-Mary shouted. Manners and talking to people normally has never been her.  “Who said that I’m following Esmeralda?”-Sven asked almost laughing.  “That’s what all are thinking since you seem so annoyed since she left.”-Mary shouted furious.  “That’s totally pathetic Mary. I was thinking of looking for a new bride, someone who will be mine for thousand years and more. “-Sven said smiling.  “Don’t be stupid dear Sven, in the twenty first century, no woman on Earth believes in happily ever after anymore. Times have changed and you have witnessed it.”-Mary shouted and then laughed.  “Mary, I’m serious and I will find her and also a new dog to guard us.”-Sven answered very optimistic.  “A new dog?”-Mary squealed surprised.  “Oh yes, I need to replace three of my bests that your brother slaughtered with his Japanese something sword.”-Sven stated, now starting to sound annoyed.  “Samurai sword.”-Mary corrected him.  “Yeah, why didn’t Marc bring nice things from Japan, instead he comes with a bloody sword and slices up my wolves.”-Sven stated disgusted and angry.

Marc was Mary’s twin brother, she transformed him after Sven turned her into a vampire, and he absolutely resembled his sister in all ways. He admired Esmeralda and that’s why killed the werewolves which tortured her the most.  He was guy and hid it for centuries until it was accepted in society. He fell in love with Jason in Scotland but never thought of making his lover a vampire. He left Scotland when he saw vampires on the New Year party, were blood was spilled. He loved to travel and also took some souvenirs with him from all the places he visited. Marc avoided France after slicing Sven’s favorite dogs, Bella, Amy and Kelly. When he saw what happened on the New Year party, he felt that he needed to flee and left Jason a letter on the kitchen table saying:

Dear Jason,

I’m sorry having to leave so sudden and not having said a word to you.

I feel horrible having to leave you nothing but a letter.

What Billie did last night, will cost him his life.

I fear that my nature will bring death to me too.

Sorry, I haven’t told you what my nature is.

I can only tell you one thing; I’m not what you think I am.

Please don’t try to search for me, you will not find me.

Take care of yourself and live on.

When I might come back, it will be too late for us.

Have fun and enjoy your life.

Fall in love a new.

I wish all the best for you.

Have a good life, without me in it.

Thank you for respecting my wish.

Farewell beautiful lover.

With love,

Marc
