Zamasu's arc

After about a month, everything had calmed down thankfully, and finally. Vegeta had taken Cabba under his wing, helping train the boy and make him stronger. Nappa was helping to coach as well in his retirement. Meanwhile, Daikon and Mully were up to no good, troublemakers as they were. The twin sons of Raditz and Launch were setting up something more mean than other pranks. Gohan finds out the hard way, as he sits down on a chair full of tacks. The boys will get theirs soon enough...but before that, Beerus returns to Earth and gives a talking to, to ensure that they know the dangers of what Zeno might have in store. "So what, it's a tournament, what could possibly go wrong?"

Cut to a very powerful being joining the U7 team, everyone gathered around to hear this man speak.

"I am the Grand Priest, the attendant to Omni King Zeno. You will be given the rules of the tournament at this time, as you are the first Universe Zeno wished to speak to. The rules might change, but this is the baseline. Each Universal team will consist of 10 fighters, and it will be an elimination based team free for all. No killing, as you will be erased. You must knock an enemy out of the arena to ensure their elimination. Flying, fusing, and trying to re-enter the arena after elimination will cause your erasure. Do remember this, as I do not believe Lord Zeno will repeat the rules. Farewell, you have plenty of time to train and prepare...oh, and another thing. 48 minutes is all the Tournament will allot. Not a second longer. The universe with the most surviving members in play will be declared winner, and will get a wish granted by the Super Dragonballs." With that, the Grand Priest heads off with no other words.

The team is left with a lot to go over, when they feel a power arrive on Earth. Going to check it out, it's Trunks arriving in his time machine from the future! Thankfully he landed in CC's backyard, otherwise this might be more trouble than it's worth. He rushes to the team, and begins. "Father, everyone, we've got more troubles! The future has been attacked again, this time by someone that looks exactly like you Gok-I mean...Kakarot."
"What do you mean, someone that looks like me?"
"He's exactly like you, but he's all wrong, he's radiating Evil energy...and I can't sense his energy at all." Just then, a rift appears in the sky, dark clouds swirl, and out comes an entity, looking exactly like Kakarot...but he's different, his clothes are black, and his aura is nothing but malicious.
"There you are Trunks...trying to run away from me?"

Raditz, Kakarot, and Vegeta all fly into super Saiyan, and charge in to meet this threat. The imposter is strong, but is nothing for three Super Saiyans. It's not too long before the imposter is being sucked back into the rift...then he spots the time machine, and fires a blast, causing it to explode and turn to rubble. The imposter is sucked back through the rift, and it closes, leaving Future Trunks stranded in the present. "Well, I guess I messed up, huh?" Trunks takes time to explain the situation, and how the future is basically dead. "I tried to save everyone I could, but this guy is just...he's too strong. There's another one too, I literally sliced his head off with my sword, but he just...he just got up a moment later." This seems to spook everyone.
"An immortal enemy, a truly immortal one? This is not going to be easy."
"Can you tell us more about these guys?"
"They came out of nowhere, wiped out the planet in mere minutes...the one I sliced the head off of was green, and had white hair...he was dressed in what looked like divine clothes."
"Might have been a Kai. I met a few in Otherworld so I know what they look and dress like."
"Regardless, this isn't simple...they said they did it to every other timeline, every other world...and mine was going to be next...and that they were making me suffer." At this point, Whis and Beerus have heard enough.

"I think it's time we fix that machine and head over to where they are, I want to see these two for myself..."
"Lord Beerus, I do not condone messing with time like this. We need to head home anyways, and see more about this Tournament that Lord Zeno has planned."
"Grrr...fine, whatever...I'm trusting you lot to get that wannabe Kai and fix this mess." Beerus and Whis head off, leaving Trunks with the group. Trunks, his present self, Bulma, and Bulla get to fixing that Time Machine, and even upgrade it with faster calculation times and much faster time engines. It took all of 4 days to fix it thanks to everyone working as a unit. Trunks asks the group to come with him, and Kakarot and Vegeta step up, before Raditz and Gohan get a chance to speak.
