2:Baby on the Way?

Kid walked home from the academy being a nervous wreck. He didn't want Maka to know he was watching her, but it wasn't really a topic he could avoid for long. He walked into the apartment he had lived in for years to find Maka passed out on the couch and extremely pale.

"Maka?" Kid said in a really worried voice, and she began to stir.

"K-Kid...." Maka said when she sat up. She looked like she was going to cry. He walked over to her and squatted down in front of her.

"Maka, whats wrong?" Kid asked.

"I'm scared Kid...." Maka said, throwing her arms around him, making them both fall to the floor.

"There's nothing to be scared of, Maka. I'm here for you." Kid said, trying to calm her down. "Maka, a-are you pregnant?"

"Is it really that obvious?" Maka asked.

"It's not obvious until you really start thinking about it." Kid said.

"What if something happens to me? What if I end up dying giving birth to our kid like your mom did?" Maka asked panicking and crying with her face in Kid's chest.

"Maka, that's not going to happen. Not while I'm with you." Kid said. He knew at some point he was going to have to tell her that when a reaper gets married, the reaper and their partner become immortal, but he didn't know how to bring up the subject. Neither of them were really even immortal, in a weird technical sense. If you could get the two of them far enough apart, you could kill either of them until they get close enough to see each other.

"How do you know I won't end up like that?" Maka asked.

"Because, Maka, I'm a reaper, and when a reaper gets married, both him and his wife become immortal as long as their in A certain range from each other. As long as you stay by my side I won't let anything hurt you." Kid said.

"H-how long is that distance?" Maka asked.

"I don't know, but it's a long distance." Kid said. The two of them laid there for a while like that, then they decided to go out to lunch. After lunch, Black Star and Tsubaki invited the two of them over, so they spent the rest of their day there.

When the two of them got back home, they both fell into a deep sleep.
