"Where the hell are you taking me?!?" Joseph asked us. I had beaten him in our little brawl because I had a better advantage than he did. Obviously, I didn't kill him, but I tied his hands up and blindfolded him. Maka and I dragged him to the academy as I explained what my relationship with Joseph was.
"So, why did you never tell me you had a twin brother?" Maka asked me.
"You didn't even tell her about me?!?" Joseph said.
"Shut up, Joseph. Anyways, to answer your question Maka, I never told anyone about Joseph until yesterday. Everyone in our family thought he was dead, but after a few years, I realized I still felt a connection to him." I said.
"I guess I'm pretty glad that you have that kind of weird twin connection thingy. I would be dead if you hadn't known where to find me." Maka said.
"Actually, if we didn't have that connection this may have not happened. We probably wouldn't have fought as much as kids and my dad wouldn't have separated the two of us so he wouldn't have to deal with phone calls from teachers about us fighting or deal with the two of us at home constantly." I said.
"Yeah, but it's pretty fun having fought over the same girl for years." Joseph added in.
"What are you talking about?" Maka asked, tiltling her head in confusion.
"Because of our little emotional connection, back in first grade when our emotions hardly had any independence from the others, I had crushes on the exact same girls he would for a while, and I didn't even know them. We always got into fights about it, and you were actually both of our first crushes....." I said.
"Your face is so red!" Maka exclaimed and giggled.
"Looks like we're here." I said, ignoring Maka's comment about my face being red. We walked up to the steps of the academy and I took the blindfold off of Joseph.
"Why the hell are we at the academy?" Joseph asked.
"We're going to let father know you've been alive this whole time." I said.
"What the hell is the point in that?!?" Joseph yelled.
"To show you just how much you hurt him when you left. He never favored me over you when we were kids. Believe it or not I would have rather been in your position at the time. You got to have friends and a better social life than me. I was jealous of you. Before I met Liz and Patty, I never really had a friend because of the fact that I never really learned how to deal with people." I said.
"You don't have to tell me you were jealous, I already know." Joseph.
"I think that's why you started becoming jealous as a kid. You weren't able to separate my emotions from yours." I said.
"Sometimes I still can't." Joseph said, looking at Maka. We walked up to the door leading to the death room not long after.
