Chapter twelve

Naruto point of veiw ~ After the training my clones day was basically as boring as the morning. Except for the fact that he didn't have lunch and almost everyone made fun of him for not having any.

Sasuke, Hinata, Shikamaru, Shino, Choji and Sai gave him looks of pity. I guess this is an everyday thing for him not to have food. Wow that fucking sucks. What the hell does he even eat then.

I guess I will have to find out later then. I watched as he looked at Menma and Mito's mom with longing eyes as she hugged them picking them up from school. Everyone had someone picking them up from school. He's the only one. I feel bad for him. Well he's me but not really.

I followed him as he walked away. He got to a place that sold ramen "Naruto how was school"a girl asked "Same as always Ayame-Chan"he said sitting down "do you want your usual"an old man asked "yes and I finally saved up enough money"my clone said happily placing a whole bunch of coins on the table.

"This is even enough for four Bowles of Raman"the old man said "really"my clone asked in excitement "yes really"Ayame said and I could tell that the both of them were lying but they were lying with good intentions.

So they must be some of the only people that care for my clone. I smiled at the fact "wow I will eat one and save the other four for lunch for the rest of the week while I save up money for when I come here next"my clone said excitedly and the two looked at my clone with sadness in their eyes.

It really must be rough for my clone. I sat down next to him and gave me a side eye look. He really must sense me. I watched as his eyes sparkled as he ate the ramen. His eyes sparkled at the taste. Was it really that good. I mean it smells heavenly. When I combine with him I need to get a taste of the ramen for myself.

After he was done he packed up the ramen in a scroll that he had hidden on his boy. Interesting. I wonder what else he has hidden on him. I watched as it was dark outside and jumped onto the rooftop and started running to a run down apartment. He entered through the window and the place was completely trashed and destroyed.

"Welcome to my home. So who are you and why have you been following me all day. You don't give off bad intentions though"He said turning directly to me.

"So you really did sense me"I said making myself visible to him now "you look like me. Wait are you me"he asked "yes I am"I said "are you the real me or am I the real me"he asked

"I'm the real version of us"I answered "does this mean you are going to take my place then"he asked "yes I am"I said "okay"he said "your fine with that"I asked confused

"I have learned to survive up until now and I feel like everything is going to be okay"he said "how do you smile through the pain and the thought of not existing anymore"I asked getting a sense that he has thought about dying a lot of times already.

"I cry in the dark that's why I seem alright
But I know that I'm special, not the average type"he explains and I pulled him to a hug "It's alright to cry sometimes. It's gon' be okay, gon' be fine"I said and he hugged back.

"We all gotta leave some day"he said looking and me pressing his forehead to mine "And that's the scariest thing"I said sadly smiling as he disappeared and we combined together.

My eyes closed as I watched his life play out through mine. Everything that has happened to his was horrible "hey other me"he said standing in my mind "yeah"I said

"promise me that you will do your best to become even stronger then you are right now and prove everyone in this village wrong for me"he said holding out his hand and I took it shaking it "promise"I said as he completely disappeared giving me a bright smile. I promise that I will show everyone who the real Naruto is.
