56: Welcome to the Philippines and Mabuhay!

Chaeyeon's POV:

How time flew by so fast and allowed me to spiral into nothingness in the last five years I lived with my team members. It wasn't until later of last year did someone really picked me up and held my hand tighter than anyone elses and helped me really deal with all my griefs. I started to cook All American for Alex Unnie and over the last six months have become more in tune with my truest self. I've forgiven Alex Unnie and her guy friends, I checked in the last five months if her case had a development. One of the guys who held her as she was being raped, came forward to the Police and has sang his heart out to the Police. Pin pointing several men, who raped Alexandra Christianna Schneiderman, Kang Seri, our Alex Unnie. True to Alex Unnie's words back in December. The man came clean and asked for a heavy sentence, he asked to be put in Jail. The police has done investigations and yesterday, the 19th of May, the rest of those men were tried and was found guilty of Rape and Exploitation of Self-murder as a result of their actions against our Alex Unnie. Her parents were surprised of the investigations the Police has done, Alex Unnie's death was initially classified as Suicide, because of too much stresses in her life, she shot herself with a Magnum .22 Caliber gun, let herself bleed out, splayed on the floor.

The hurt she must've been feeling all those years after the incident. I've learned all the gory details such as drugging Alex Unnie on a night out, the perpetrator was Kang DaeSun who had the biggest obsession on Alex Unnie, slipped the pill into Alex Unnie's drink. The rest of the men have helped him hold down Alex Unnie when she still had the fight in her. Then after him another man named Kim Seung Ri, went in and joined in on inserting his penis to Alex Unnie's private part, then the rest of them followed suit and the man who told Police was guilty enough, he didn't do anything to Alex Unnie, he helped her escape the whole ordeal once the other guys have fallen asleep besides Alex Unnie. Alex Unnie gave him a teary smile as she escaped the men. They were going to keep her and do more things to her if he didn't help her escape. According to him, the whole thing was premeditated by his friends.

We are now here in the Philippines, at Subic Bay. Our direct flight from Korea, together with our kids, all ten of our kids went with us to Subic. Subic, Clark, had an International Airport. We flew here because Skylar Unnie's Gravesite was located in Pampanga, City of San Fernando. We coordinated with her family that we will visit on the 22nd of May and perform ten songs for her. Our stop here at Subic was for our own relaxation and fun, summer was almost ending in the Philippines and in a few more days it will start to rain. The City of San Fernando, used to be beautiful, before the Pinatubo Mountain exploded, causing mud flows and lahar an Indonesian term for mixture of cold water and rock fragments from the slopes of a volcano that enters the river valleys. The town was subjected to this, many people have been uprooted from their homes and to this day, the town still suffers from flooding on rainy days even after building a Dike.

The town was known for its Christmas Lanterns, they make it in the City during September to December. The colorful lights these lanterns bring was something Alex Unnie raved about to us, having experienced Christmases in the Philippines with his Father's Maternal side living in the city of San Fernando, she also said that her Haelmoni and Harabeoji would often make her eat tons of Filipino Food in their Christmas Eve Dinners, Skylar Unnie loved Christmas Holidays, she extensively celebrates the Holidays come September, often decorating her room with Christmas stuff, she had a small Christmas Tree on top of her table, little lanterns and garlands and everything you can think of were shamelessly displayed in her room. Where as us Koreans were just meh about the Christmas Holidays. She and Alex Unnie loved to celebrate Christmas as early as September, often singing along to Christmas Carols as they made their way through the rest of the days. A little goofy oddballs the first time I've met both of them.
