Chaeyeon's POV:
Kura-chan and I spoke a little bit more about my past and what happened when my two unnies in training died. Why I was this way for a long time now. It was refreshing to have someone to talk to and say the things I long kept with me. What drove me to push even my family away from me. I was suffering alone for the longest time, I refused to talk about the things that happened to me. It was an unspeakable thing for the longest time now. Minjoo, Kwangbae, Ducky and Eunbi were the only people who chose to be compassionate with me, often lending their ears for me and holding me into a tight hug and now Kura-chan who was asking me questions about the past. Trying to understand what happened to me, trying to slowly break all the walls I built around me.
Even as we reached my home, she never stopped making me feel lighter than I've been these past five years. How she does it, I don't know too, I guess she's really just a nice person, a very nice and understanding person if I may add, it has been two days now since we arrived at my place, it was now Saturday, we filmed our practices once we arrived here at our house. All we had to do was lounge around, watch movies, play games and swim in the pool. My kids were having the time of their lives and Yujin became a Game Master officiating the games we played. We were supposed to have dinner with my parents so by five in the afternoon, everyone was already preparing for the dinner.
Kura-chan offered to chop some vegetables together with Kwangbae and Minjoo. All three of them sat with me on the kitchen table, Mom and Dad they loved having visitors around, we had now a table that sits fifteen, Pretty small in number but we had a total of fifty chairs back in the day. Back when Daddy and Mommy used to entertain Business Partners. Back when Chaer and I would duet songs and dance in front of the party goers. I had fun growing up, entertaining my parents' guests, I loved every song number Chaer and I used to perform. My parents supported my passion for becoming an idol star, so was Chaeryeong. It was just... Well no one expected that I'd give up my spot for my sister Chaeryeong, no one expected that I will be giving up after failing twice to debut and restart training at WM.
I was a mad woman when I started to rebuild my progress at a different company whereas if I stayed, I might've debuted with ITZY, Somi and I could've debuted back with ITZY, there was no doubt about it and I would've become their leader. But I decided to leave JYP a few months after Twice's debut, Somi then terminated her contract with JYP after appearing in Produce 101 and winning the contest and debuting as I.O.I back in 2016, Debuted with Unnies in 2017 and Girls Next Door later half of 2017, though the groups were Special Project Groups, Somi did well back then, she was a crowd favorite back in Sixteen, many viewers voted for her but not nearly enough than Tzuyu Unnie, who was later added back to the group after being eliminated.
Somi and my sister all cried heavily before I left JYP. We practiced a lot in a practice room and before I finally left JYP, they even threw me a going away Pizza Party. Somi was my best friend, we treated each other as if we were sisters by blood. Nowadays, we often catch up by meeting each other on Korean Holidays, since we are both busy with our careers. Somi was a bright and talented musician, her voice has its own distinct color, which was why she never debuted in a permanent group, because her voice was so distinct that it doesn't fit on any other groups, Somi had a distinct and powerful vocals, you can recognize her singing voice because it couldn't blend into other people's vocals, take for example her song as an I.O.I Member, Downpour was the title of their very last single. Somi's lines were as follows:
Hajiman urin arayo, jamsiman ulgeyo bitmure gidaaeo
(But we know, let me just cry for a moment)
