Willa,
We have just opened the mail you sent Harper. She is on cloud nine and will not be coming down for an age, basketball camp...with you... in New Hampshire... she is thrilled. I can't believe you gave her a spot, she is just beaming Willa, beaming!! We saw it advertised of course, we were so proud to see your picture in the brochure with your girls, she even mentioned how cool it would be to have aunty Willa teach her and mentor her. She will be in high school next year and she is nervous with how well the girls play there. I'm pretty sure you can help her confidence with that. She is already wearing the jersey you sent and proudly telling her friends she is leaving in but four weeks.
How can Ben and I thank you for doing this for her? I know how much these things cost. I know you said in the letter you would have her stay with you, how lucky she is to stay with you all summer. Can I ask? if you will be allowing her mother to come and drop her off?! Please say yes!!!!! I am beyond excited to see your home and your world up there. I will be quite respectful. I promise. After what happened I feel like I can be around you and safely just hold your hand, because when we do get to be together it will be so worth the wait. We have survived off of the intimacy of hand holding our entire lives this far... even through raging teenage hormones, and that is quite a feat.
Harper and I are beyond excited and so so so thankful Willa.
We love you,
Allie, Harper, and of course Ben, who wanted me to tell you he is "pumped".
See you in four weeks,
FOUR WEEKS....
Try and make me contain this enthusiasm... HA ...
You can't.
