When the train had arrived at the station, it was night time. Everyone began getting off the train and Magnolia stepped off it after Ron did and wrapped her robe around her more tightly as it was quite cold. And if she was already feeling excited, the voice of a familiar person made her even more.

"Right, then! First years this way, please! Come on now! First years, don't be shy! Come on now. Hurry up, come on!"

Magnolia yelled out happily.

"Hagrid!"

She skipped over to him with a big smile and stood in front of him. Hagrid looked down and greeted her.

"Hello, Magnolia."

Magnolia greeted him back.

"Hey, Hagrid."

Since Hagrid was stood in front of them, Ron slowly looked up at him and let out a "woah!" at seeing how tall he was. Hagrid then waited till all the first years were there before speaking again.

"Right, then! This way to the boats. Come on, now. Follow me."

He led them to the boat dock and announced loudly for them all to hear.

"Now, no more than four to a boat. No more than four. Come on."

Magnolia excitedly grabbed Hermione's hand and dragged her over to an empty boat. They both unsteadily got onto it and set down, just for Ron and Hanley to join and sat opposite them.

Magnolia's excitement began to bubble up again and it practically shot out of her when they turned a corner and the sight of Hogwarts was shown. Murmurs of "woah" and "wow" were heard between all the first years and with a burst of excitement, Magnolia happily stomped her feet against the floor of the boat and let out a squeal of delight.

Hermione and Ron chuckled at her reaction and Hanley admired the way her eyes sparkled as all of her attention was on the castle and the castle only.

But when they arrived at the docks and people started to get out, Hanley rushed out of the boat and stood by the side of it, waiting for Magnolia to come out of it. And when she stood up and began to unsteadily get out, Hanley held out a hand for her to take.

Magnolia looked surprised at this, but took his hand as she didn't trust her balance on her own and thanked him sheepishly when he helped her out. She let go of his hand and walked next to Ron, who had seen the interaction and bit his lip from laughing.

Everyone then followed Hagrid and he led them through some doors before telling them to walk up the stairs and left as his part was done. And the group of muttering first years did as he said and when they got to the very top, they stopped as a stern looking woman with robes and pointy hat stood and stared at them.

When they were all there, she started her speech.

"Welcome to Hogwarts, I'm Professor McGonagall. Now, in a few moments, you will pass through these doors and join your classmates. But, before you can take your seats, you must be sorted into your houses. They are; Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Whilst you are here, your house will be like your family, your triumphs will earn you points. Any rule breaking and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the House Cup-"

A boy suddenly exclaims.

"Trevor!"

He runs forwards and picks up the toad that was perched at the feet of McGonagall. Students laugh at him and he looks up to see her staring down at him. He apologises timidly.

"Sorry."

He turns around and goes back to where he was standing, his face red with embarrassment.

Hanley said he had found his toad. He must have lost it again for it to appear in front of McGonagall. Poor thing.
