Walking through Diagon Alley again, Petunia and Dudley were glad to be on proper ground. They were feeling a lot better now they weren't on that death trap. And going to several shops and watching Magnolia happily buy things she'd need definitely helped.
"I still need.. a wand."
Hagrid, who had boxes under his arm, looked down at Magnolia and uttered.
"A wand? Well you want Ollivanders. There ain't no place better."
He pointed at the shop that was up ahead and ignored the sound of a soft slap on the hand that came from Petunia as she had stopped Dudley from sticking his fingers into an owl cage and possibly getting his fingers nipped at by the said animal. The half-giant then suggested.
"Why don't you run along there and wait? I just got one more thing I got to do. Won't be long."
Magnolia nodded and watched as Hagrid walked away before entering the shop with her curious aunt and cousin behind her. The bell above the door jingled, signalling that someone had entered and Magnolia saw no one in the shop, which made her confused. But then she was distracted by the amount of wand boxes that were everywhere.
She walked up to the front desk and softly spoke.
"Hello?"
She repeated the word but louder.
"Hello?"
A sliding noise was heard and Magnolia's head shot up to the corner where she saw a creepy looking man standing on some ladders.
That must be Ollivander.
The man was silent for a few seconds before breaking out into a grin and speaking.
"I wondered when I'd be seeing you, Miss Potter."
Well that wasn't creepy.
Ollivander made his way down the ladder and turned to a wall of wand boxes. He wiggled his fingers, searching for one.
"It seems only yesterday that your mother and father were in here buying their first wands. Ah."
He had found a wand box and pulled it out, Magnolia was ready for the whole wall to come crashing down, but the other wand boxes stayed in their spot.
Magic, of course.
Ollivander then walked to the desk and pulled off the lid.
"Here we are."
He carefully took the wand out from its box and handed it to Magnolia, who stood there with it in her hand, wondering what to do. And Ollivander saw that and suggested.
"Well, give it a wave."
Magnolia did just that and her and the others jumped out of their skin when the boxes of wands suddenly flew out from their positions. The redhead girl winced at the mess and muttered a small "sorry" before putting the wand on the desk, her face red with embarrassment.
"Apparently not."
The man then grabbed another wand and mumbled.
"Perhaps, this.."
He held it out for Magnolia to take and when it was in her hand, she gave it another wave, more unenthusiastic this time and yelped when a vase was smashed quite brutally.
"No, no. Definitely not."
Petunia held Dudley closer to her and Magnolia meekly placed the wand on the desk, her face getting redder. She cleared her throat awkwardly, but she was curious again when she heard Ollivander mutter quietly.
