It's safe to say that Magnolia Potter completely forgot about Nicholas Flamel. After she had found the Mirror of Erised and saw her parents, all plans of trying to find out who Nicholas Flamel was, went straight out the window.

But, luckily, they had Hermione Granger, who was extremely adamant to keep looking. So when she practically forced the others to sit in the Library and search through books, they were a bit disappointed that they had no luck.

Until Hermione came to the rescue.

"I had you looking in the wrong section. How could I be so stupid?"

She slammed a massive book on the table and Magnolia only just managed to move her hand away before it was crushed by the book. She winced at the loud noise it made and glanced at Madam Pince, who gave them a glare.

Hermione sat down opposite Magnolia and added.

"I checked this out weeks ago for a bit of light reading."

She opened the book and flicked through the pages, Ron looked at the book and retorted in disbelief.

"This is light?"

Magnolia chuckled when Hermione gave him a look before reading out.

"Of course, here it is! Nicholas Flamel is the only known maker of the Philosopher's Stone."

Ron, Hanley, and Magnolia asked in unison.

"The what?"

Hermione rolled her eyes and asked sassily.

"Honestly, don't you three read?"

Magnolia looked mildly offended, but shrugged and listened to Hermione as she continued.

"The Philosopher's Stone is a legendary substance with astonishing powers. It will transform any metal into pure gold, and produces the Elixir of Life. Which will make the drinker immortal."

Ron asked.

"Immortal?"

Hermione replied back.

"It means you'll never die."

Ron defended himself loudly.

"I know what it means!"

Magnolia shushed him as Madam Pince looked at them with a stern look on her face. Hermione then finished off.

"The only Stone currently in existence belongs to Mr Nicholas Flamel, the noted Alchemist, who last year celebrated his 665th birthday."

Neville, Hanley, Ron, and Magnolia had their eyes wide in surprise at how old the man was. Hermione stated eagerly.

"That's what Fluffy's guarding on the Third Floor. That's what's under the trapdoor, the Philosopher's Stone."

Magnolia leaned forward and asked curiously.

"I wonder if Nicholas Flamel knows that his creation is here at Hogwarts and not with him? I mean, why would he give away his most prized creation that is literally keeping him alive, to a school? Why is it here?"

If I remember rightly, Hagrid had mentioned Dumbledore when he gave a letter to the Goblin. So he must know where it is and why it's here. And why use a cerberus to guard the trap door? Does Flamel know that the Philosopher's Stone was in a vault that was requested to be opened and the object to be taken out by Dumbledore?

The others looked curious too, but quickly regarded it as Hermione suggested.

"We should go down to Hagrid's tonight, he probably knows more about the Philosopher's Stone."
