Chapter 3: Getaway?

Ara's POV
Its been few days since nung baby shower ng baby nila Aly. Well since then, medyo naging maingat na ako pero hindi pa din maialis sa isip ko kung sasabihin ko ba kay Thomas o Hindi. I cant tell anything to him since, this is Arra's will. I want to at least pay my debt to her.

"May problema ba Babe?" Tanong sa akin ni Thomas habang naka back hug siya.

"Oh. Gising ka na? Wala. Wala naman." Sagot ko sa kaniya.

"Oo nga no. Wala naman talagang problema. Pati nga yung hotdog, kahit sunog na wala pa ding problema." Sabi niya then pointed me the hotdogs that I am cooking for breakfast. Aish! This is embarrassing.

"Sorry. I burnt it. I'll just cook another one. Ah! Omelette. Gusto mo?" Sabi ko at nag labas na ng mga ingredients ng Omurice. It is a Japanese/Korean dish na omelette na may lamang rice sa loob. Parang fried rice na nilagay sa omelette.

"Hey. Relax. Tell me. Is there something bothering you?" Nilapag ko yung mga ingredients at hinarap siya.

"Aniyo." Sabi ko ng maikli. "jeoneun jal jinaeyo. [I am fine]" sagot ko sa kaniya at ipinagpatuloy ang pagluluto ko. Well, Thomas and I started to learn korean last year. We had a talk a while ago that we'll learn another language together, para kapag may iki keep kaming secret sa barkada, yun ang gagamitin naming language. Then, we watched korean dramas together para mas matuto kami. We are also planning on going to Seoul someday.

I just finished cooking so nag start na din kaming kumain ni Thomas. Pero the whole time that we were eating, tanong siya ng tanong kung may problema ba. Ako naman, wala ng wala. -_-

"I am off." Paalam ko sa kaniya ng pababa na ako sa sasakyan pero pinigilan niya nanaman ako.

"Are you really sure that nothing's bothering you?" Concerned na tanong niya sa akin.

"Yes. I am really really sure. (smiles) i'll be fine. Don't worry." Sabi ko while rubbing his hair.
"I love you (smile)" I smiled and kissed him on the forehead then started to head to my office. Good thing that I wasn't late.

When I got there, I wasn't really busy since, I am one of the Boss. So, I had time to think a solution to my problem.

"Hoy. Bruha. Tulala ka nanaman?" Tanong sa akin ni Carolina as she barged in my office. Here we go again.

"Wala. Bat andito ka?" Tanong ko sa kaniya para ibahin ang topic.

"I need you to sign this papers. Confirmation yan na enough ang funds para sa pagpapatayo ng 3rd branch." Sabi niya at binigay na sa akin yung folders. As I started to read the papers, my friend here, started to nag me about that topic again.
"So tell me. Ano nanaman ang iniisip mo?" Pangiintriga niya.

"We're at work Carol. We shouldn't talk like this." Pagpapaalala ko sa kaniya.
"Here. Review mo nalang yang papers and we're good to go." I said then gave her the papers. Lalabas na sana ako sa office ko since I have a meeting ng pigilan niya ako.

"Hey! Where do you think you're going?!" Sigaw niya sa akin.

"I have a lunch meeting." Sabi ko sa kaniya.

"With... Thomas?" Sabi niya then wiggled her eyebrows.

"Nope. With a client. Then, I'll have to go (smile)" lumabas na ako ng tuluyan and took a cab to my meeting place, which turns to be...

"Hoy babae! Sinong nag sabi sayo na pwede ka nalang basta pumasok dito sa Cafe ha?!" Bulyaw sa akin ni Kim.

"Masama ba?!" Sigaw ko naman sa kaniya.

"Hindi. (Laughs) what brings you here? Ang layo ng QC sa Taft ah." Tanong niya sa akin after serving my usual drink.

"Well, I just missed GBC and I have a meeting." Maikling sagot ko sa kaniya then took a sip to my coffee.

"With who?" Nagkibit balikat nalang ako then uminom ulit ng coffee. Naagaw yung atensyon naming dalawa ng i greet ng mga staff yung costumer na pumasok.

"You're here. (Smile)" bati ko sa kaniya.

"Can't be!" Sigaw ni Kim. Hindi yata makapaniwala sa kausap ko ngayon.

"Hi, Ate Kim! (smiles)" bati niya kay Kim dahilan para umusok ang ilong ng kaibigan ko.

"HOY REX INTAL. WAG MO AKONG MA ATE ATE DYAN! Dyan na nga kayo. Hmmp!" Sabi ni Kim at tuluyan ng bumalik sa may bar. HAHAHA haay.

"Sira ka talaga." Sabi ni Rex talking about Kim.

"Kamusta? Kamusta kayo ni Therese?" Pangangamusta ko. Yes. He's still with Therese Gaston. Feeling ko nga, malapit na silang may tie ng knot.

"Ayus naman. Ikaw ang dapat kong kamustahin eh, balita ko may problema ka daw."

"Don't even mention. (Laughs) kumain ka na? Let's eat first"

Um order na siya and we had some business talks and agreed to sign the contract next week. Pero bago siya bumalik sa Katipunan, hi gave me some words of wisdom.

"Ara. Kung ano man yan, don't keep it a secret from him. (Smile) sige. Una na ako."

Thomas' POV
Sign dito, review ng contract doon. Hay. It has been a really stressful week for this company. So, I decided to...

"Sir. Eto na po yung tickets ng flight na pina book niyo." Sabi sa akin ng secretary ko and handed me the envelope.

"Thanks. Uh, Kyle, you can also have a leave while I am gone. Andyan naman yung Asst. Manager." Sabi ko sa kaniya. Oh yes! I am taking a short break. With Ara of course. When? Our flight is tomorrow. Where? Secret.

Kaya tinapos ko na ang mga dapat kong tapusin at sinundo si Ara sa office niya.

"Pack your stuffs." Sabi ko sa kaniya.

"Huh? Aalis ba tayo?" Clueless na tanong niya.

"Yes. We'll be having a vacation"

"Where?"

"You'll know when we get there."

"When?"

"We'll leave tomorrow. (smiles)"
