Kristen's POV

Oh fuck, Kristen was nervous. Kristen's anxiety always reared its head the first time she did anything, and now getting ready for her dinner with Nicole she thought of every possible thing that could go wrong. What if her train is half an hour late to the station? What if she can't find the restaurant? What if she falls on the tracks before the train gets there? To calm herself down as she got ready she decided to play some music, so as she tried to decide on what to do with her face. As TWICE's Behind The Mask played she started on her makeup, she went very light with foundation and concealer, just trying to hide her hormonal breakouts and puffiness. Feathered brows, soft pink gloss, white highlighter, and feeling a little excited white eyeliner. She finished the look off with her mascara and curled her honey blonde hair with a one and half inch barrel curl wand.

When it comes to Kristen's outfit that comes easily to her even though it was January in the windy city, Kristen never let that stop her passion for fashion. Kristen grabbed her pink satin off the shoulder mini dress from Cider, nude winter tights, and chunky pink heels to match. For her outerwear she pink a simple beige long trench coat. Trench coats were Kristen's absolute favorite kind of a coat, she had one in every color by the time she was twenty-two.

When Kristen looked at herself in her full length mirror she took a deep breath "It's just a dinner, don't put too much pressure on it. Don't think you're going to come out of it with more than just lobster tails."

With that Kristen grabbed her heart shaped pink bag, her thick gloves, her keys, and walked out of her apartment.

Kristen's trip to the orange line station closest to her apartment didn't take longer than fifteen minutes, luck was on her side because as she walked up the stairs there was her L train, she spent thirty minutes making it to Roosevelt before switching to the red line subway train and going to Grand. Then walking down Grand to Joe's.

Kristen had never been to Joe's and didn't know what to expect, it was on the northern side of Chicago which tended to be fancier than her southside but she didn't expect to be this fancy. When she walks in a host comes to her and asks her for her reservation, he's tall and intimidating with sharp cheekbones and downturned eyes.

"It should be under Nicole Abshire," Kristen says, avoiding eye contact.

The man looks down at his iPad and nods his head and leads Kristen to the far corner of the restaurant to an open doorway. He leads her to a wide open room with round tables and white tablecloths and beautiful table settings with flowers at the head of the table. Even though Kristen was sure she was the only one to be dining with Nicole she found her at a table set for six.

The waiter pulls out Kristen's chair closet to Nicole's and Nicole smiles warmly as Kristen sits down and gets comfortable.

"Hi Sweetheart," Nicole says "How was the ride here?"

"Very easy day on the trains today, barely any delay on the red line,"

Nicole's smile never falters for her face "That's great,"

"You didn't tell me how fancy this place was," Kristen gaped as she looked around, she didn't even want to look at the menu and look at the prices, this was going to slip into her shoe fund for the month.

"When you said seafood I just wanted to see my favorite place," Nicole shrugs "I hope it doesn't make you uncomfortable, you fit in very well with the vibe."

Kristen grins "I tend to over dress when I go out with my friends,"

"Then your friends need to take you to nicer places,"

Kristen laughs. "So you come to places like this a lot?"

"I kinda grew up in spaces like this, my dad is a politician and my mom comes from old money Chicago, but she was mostly a socialite until she got married. But her grandfather's company made most of the high rises of downtown Chicago."
