30. Making plans and Taking Calls

Nicole's POV 

 After spending so much time together, Nicole was sad to be leaving her little one and going back to normal work life. Even though Kristen had agreed to let Nicole buy her out of her apartment for the year and she would move into a new apartment it couldn't happen right away. So Nicole left later that day and went back to working in the library as she always did.

There was always so much peace in the stacks of her library, in the moments before the children arrived, and no one typed aggressively on the computers. Just silence the smell of books. It was Nicole's happy place. She had been stocking the adult romance books mid afternoon when her phone began to vibrate in her pocket. She lets go of 'My Sinful Nights' and grabs at her vibrating pocket. When Nicole sees the name on her screen she grins, it had been too long since this woman had called her.

"Hello?" she says in a sing-song voice.

"There's my Bunny," Penny says, her voice as sweet and velvety as ever. Nicole missed that voice in her ear. "How are you, honey?"

"I'm doing really well! Currently in the stacks of my library, hold on lemme walk to my office." Nicole says and practically skips to her office so she can talk to Penny as loud as she wants.

Nicole smiled "Well, I won't lie I had been in quite the slump for a few months, but now I have a new sub that's been taking all my time. We mostly just play at my apartment, she's pretty new to the scene and hasn't been to any parties yet."

"Oh! Well you have to bring her to the one at the dungeon this weekend, I'll be there Friday and Saturday night. I would love to see your new play thing."

"Well Bunny!" Penny exclaims, "Tell me all about her."

"Her name is Kristen, she's a little, and I've been helping her explore and get more comfortable in her small side. We've been spending a lot of time together and... I love her."

There's a pregnant pause on the other side of the line. It wasn't that Penny didn't believe in love or anything like that, but she saw Nicole in the way she was when she was 18 and they had just started playing together, she didn't really know how Nicole's new relationships went now.

"Love..." Penny says "Sounds serious, and here I was calling because I wanted to have you on your knees for me."

Nicole laughs "Not this time, we haven't spoken about 'sharing' yet. I'm just focused on playing with her."
