That night, I was lying in my bed. I was playing that conversation with Nishimura in my head over and over again. He said I was good looking. He never complimented me like that before. I knew there was a high chance I was reading too much into it but, I couldn't help it. I just wish I could figure out why he said it the way he did. It wasn't just a casual comment. I was desperate for context. I needed to ask Shizuka what she thought.

I said I didn't know. That I hadn't gave a lot of thought. He then said that I was a good looking guy and could get anyone I wanted.

Seriously!? He said you were a good looking guy? How did he say it!? Did he say it quite plainly?

He went a bit red. He looked away when he said it.

I wasn't sure. I really wanted to take her word for it, but, I'd be falling into a trap. I was convinced I would be setting myself up for disappointment. But then...I don't know what he's looking for. I never returned to question.
