(A/N: Hi, so this is like if the first version of this never happened. And for a little context, they've defeated the travellers but there was no Damon and Bonnie stuck in the prison world etc. Bonnie and Jeremy died of old age as this is about 100 years after tvd, but Jeremy did the whole family, white-picket-fence type life and has a daughter who isn't really important to this story but I thought it was worth mentioning for the sake of context. All of them are also still vampires. I hope you enjoy. XxD)

"Hi, I'm looking for Dr Salvatore? Is she in today?"

"Can I ask what this is about?" the perky blonde receptionist asked and Lydia Mikaelson rolled her eyes as she sighed and leaned over the counter.

"No, you may not. Now call Dr Salvatore out here," she compelled as the woman picked up her phone and dialled a number as Lydia leaned back on the high counter, ignoring every word the woman said as she stared out the window at the sad little town of Mystic Falls. A truly pathetic place. She couldn't wait to go home.

"Marissa, I'm seeing a patient. What is so - Uh, can I help you?" Elena Salvatore asked as she looked to Lydia, who looked a little older than she did but ridiculously familiar.

Elena Salvatore, formerly Gilbert, looked exactly like Lydia's Aunt Kat, except not as pretty despite the vampire blood that made the doppelganger no slave to time.

Lydia's smile was dazzling, a grin truly bewitching to men, something her Aunt Kat taught her as men would always be the easier ones to manipulate.

"Elena Salvatore right? Previously Elena Gilbert?"

"Yes?" she replied uncertainly. "I'm sorry, do I know you? Did you have an appointment?"

"No," called another voice as a brunette girl, who looked rather similar to Elena, save for her hazel eyes, appeared behind the chair of the receptionist. "But we know you," she said as she snapped Marissa's neck and the girl crumpled to the floor, dead.

"NO!" Elena screamed in outrage before she vamped her face and snarled at the two girls who snarled right back.

Their fight could've been over in two seconds flat easily, but after everything Elena had done, the girls wanted to play with her a little bit.

Though the vampire doctor was in the more practical outfit of scrubs and sneakers, the girls had been fighting in all kinds of clothes for decades, moreover, they'd been in heels since they could walk, just like their mothers.

Elena went for the brunette first rather than the dark blonde, leaping over the counter and knocking over the chair Marissa had sat on as she pushed her back into the wall, landing a punch to her right cheek.

The girl, who was none other than Melody Mikaelson, only laughed as she blew her brunette waves from her face.

"Oh, this is going to be fun," she said before headbutting Elena, the girl disorientated before Melody kicked Elena away from her and right into Lydia's arms, the girl fighting her grip only to cry out in agony as Lydia broke her arm, and then her leg. The kicker was that Lydia still kept an iron grip on both of Elena's arms, even the broken one as she cried and Melody advanced on her.

"Stop fighting," Melody compelled and Elena stilled, her face still a picture of fear and pain, a rather odd combination that they'd never seen on Katherine's face before.

"Who are you?" Elena asked as she trembled on the floor, Lydia letting her go.

"You're a tough one to track down, no one would expect you to stay in this stupid town for so long. I mean, Elena Gilbert should be what? 80 years old by now? And you don't look a day over 18," Melody remarked as she slid her hands into her coat pockets and her cousin moved to her side.
