After Amara had dinner with the boys, she'd decided that she'd go home, as she had work tomorrow. She was currently sliding on her shoes, when one of them came up next to her. She looked over, seeing that it was Heeseung.
"I'm going to walk you home, that okay?" he asked her, as he was already putting on his shoes.
She nodded with a soft smile. He gave her his own smile. He told the others he'd be back in a little bit, before they left the dorm.
The two of them walked down the street, with a lot of people still awake. They were either coming home from work or going to work. Thankfully, she didn't live too far from their dorm. Just a few blocks away.
"Don't let what happened earlier today upset you," Heeseung broke the silence between them.
She looked up at him,
"I don't want you to stress yourself out over him or the others. You don't need that kind of stress. If they really wanted to talk to you that badly, they would've done it weeks ago," he continued, shoving his hands into his jacket pockets.
Amara nodded slowly, frowning, "I agree with you. I'll do my best not to let it bother me. It's taking a while, but I'm slowly getting over what happened. But... I admit that it's thanks to you and the others. I honestly think I'd probably have lost my job by now from staying locked up in my apartment all day," she admitted, looking away.
They both finally got to her apartment and stopped in front of her door. She pulled out her keys and unlocked the door. Heeseung reached over and touched her face, making her look up at him. He used his thumb to gently caress her cheek.
"Please don't let them get to you. I'm here for you, all of us are. We won't let them hurt you again. We'll protect you for as long as it takes, okay?" he said, giving her a soft smile.
She returned his smile, leaning her face into his hand. She closed her eyes and reached up, putting both of her hands on his. He watched her do this, his smile fading slowly. She might've been smiling, but he knew that she was forcing herself to. He wrapped his other arm around her, hugging her close to him. She turned her face into his chest, taking in his cologne.
"You're a strong person. You always have been, for as long as I've known you. But, it's okay to not be sometimes. Please don't let them ruin you like this,"
Heeseung whispered his words, holding her tightly. Tears filled her eyes at his words. She nodded slowly again. She sniffled softly as he pulled away. He leaned down to her level, placing a soft kiss on her cheek.
"Get some sleep, you need it," he says softly.
She nodded, reaching up and wiping her tears from her face. She looked up at him and forced a small smile to her face. Heeseung smiled gently, before walking away, his fingers leaving her face. She watched him leave and sniffled again.
Amara went inside her apartment, closing and locking the door behind her. She sighed softly. She pulled off her shoes and didn't bother turning on any of the lights. She dragged herself into her room. She waited a moment, before pulling her clothes off. She dropped them on her floor lazily and climbed into bed. She pulled the blankets over her head, sighing. She curled up and eventually fell asleep.
