Several hours had passed by. About 5 or 6. Some had either left to go home with asking to be texted when Amara gave birth, others fell asleep, and others had left to go get some food. After what seemed like forever, Beomgyu came into the waiting room. The ones who were still awake, looked up.

"How is she? Is she okay? Is the baby okay? They're okay, right?" Jungwon was kind of freaking out.

But, it was all for nothing.

"She's fine. And the baby is fine. Um... It's a girl," Beomgyu smiled, starting to get emotional.

Taehyun got up and went to comfort his friend while he cried from happiness.

Meanwhile in the hospital room, Amara was sitting up in her bed. She was looking down at her baby asleep in her arms. Tears of happiness filled her eyes. She sniffled quietly, admiring her daughter. She was happy to finally be holding her. Seonwoo sat in the bed next to her, an arm around her. He was using his thumb to gently caress the baby's cheek.

"She's beautiful. You did so good, orchid."

Seonwoo smiled and kissed her head, making her smile some more. Amara sniffled and tried not to cry. Being careful not to wake up her daughter and not to hurt her, Seonwoo gently hugged her, so she wouldn't feel alone. She laid her head on his chest, sniffling. She was grateful that he chose to be here with her.

She still needed to tell Kai about him being the father. She took a deep breath and looked up at Seonwoo, who looked back.

"I need to tell Kai. Could you bring him in here?" she asked softly.

"Are you sure? It can wait a little longer if you're not ready," he asked, frowning and worrying over how it will go.

"No, I need to tell him now. If I don't, I never will. He may have been an asshole the past several months, but he does have the right to know," she stated.

After a moment, Seonwoo nodded. She watched him get up from the bed and leave the room. When he was gone, she looked down at her sleeping daughter, sighing quietly.

She can do this.

Seonwoo came to the waiting room, where everyone was waiting. They all looked up, a bit surprised to see him. They had expected him to stay with Amara until she was discharged.

"Is everything okay?" Jake asked, getting up from his chair.

"Yeah, everything is great. But, um... Kai?" Seonwoo looked over at the younger, who was on his phone.

He looked up from whatever it was he was doing.

"Amara wants to see you," the older stated, seemingly unhappy about this.

"What for? I'm not interested going in there," Kai looked back to his phone.

"It's important. Just get up and go see her," Seonwoo snapped, frowning.

After a minute, Kai sighed in annoyance. He turned his phone off, getting up from his chair. He left the waiting room, to go get it over with.

The hospital room door opened and closed, making Amara look up. She watched Kai walked in. He stood a few feet away from her bed, not even looking at her.

"Seonwoo said you needed to talk to me. Said it was important," he sighed, clearly not wanting to be near her.

She could see that brighter than day. "It is important. But, I can tell you don't want to be here, so I'll make it as quick as possible,"

He said nothing and just waited for her to speak. She took a deep breath, before finally finding the courage to say what she needed to.

"You're the father."

Those three words got his full and undivided attention. Kai finally looked at Amara, shock written all over his face. He stared at her, his eyes wide and his mouth open. He definitely wasn't expecting to hear those words. But, after a moment, that shock was gone and replaced with his usual anger.

"You're lying. That's not a very cool joke," he snapped at her, turning away to leave.

"I'm not joking. I have the proof. Here, look at it," she said, stopping him.

Kai turned around again and saw her holding out a piece of paper. He walked over and snatched it out of her hands. He looked down at it, seeing it was results for a DNA test. His dark danced over the words printed on it, looking for what he needed. When he did, he stared at the words in front of him.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝒇𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒊𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒇𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅. 𝑨𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝒇𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓: 𝑲𝒂𝒊 𝑲𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒖𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈.

Amara watched the expression on his face change from anger, to confusion, to realization, all in a second. He looked up from the paper, his eyes landing on her. She waited for him to say something, but he didn't. He stood there. She wasn't sure if he was mad or if he was just unsure of how to react. She couldn't read his expression anymore; It was unreadable now. A couple of minutes passed by, before anything happened.

Kai put the paper on the table, and walked up to her bedside. She was quiet as she watched him approach. He looked down at the newborn baby girl she was holding.

"Do you want hold her?" Amara asked, breaking their silence.

He nodded, still not finding his words. She smiled, hearing this. It made her happy to know that he did. She adjusted the newborn and passed her over to him. Kai carefully took her into his arms.

"I named her Areum," Amara said softly, smiling.

The baby's eyes found his face and stared up at him. A little smile appeared on her face and made a tiny, happy sound. Her tiny reached up, wrapping her little fingers around his finger. The second she did that, any and all anger that he had been holding, just disappeared in an instant. Kai smiled for the first time in months. He curled his finger inside her tiny fist. He used his thumb to lovingly caress her cheek. Her skin was so soft.

"She's so beautiful."

"Isn't she? It's why I named her Areum. Areum Kamal Huening."
