14|| Dream Bride

Sunoo immediately lied Lia down on her bed. His hands were shaking heavily as he coat her body using her blanket but he suddenly stopped.

"They're here" he uttered referring to his enemies who followed them.

"5 in the backyard...... 2 outside the balcony and more coming" as he starts to calculate whatever presence of wolves are around.

He stared at Lia whose sleeping peacefully not knowing how to defend her not until the last ray of the sunset disappeared in her windows.

His blood starts to flow differently. Transformations are observed in his physical appearance. Long and sharp nails started to grow in his finger.

His teeth turned into fangs. Sunoo opened his eyes with his hazel brown eyes changed into a red tint of blood.

"5th prince! Come out! Don't be a coward!" someone called outside followed by insulting laughs.

Sunoo knew that they also turned into human-like appearance. He clenched his fist and took the courage to go out.

As soon as he's out the balcony, he met the eyes of the fiercely looking 'ace' of the Alpha troops known for his unbelievable speed and braveryㅡSeon.

"Hand over the girl to me. You have no escape now" Seon ordered.

Sunoo looked around and Seon was right. Their troop surrounded the house.

"What do you want from her?"

"You were sent here to protect her but you don't know why?" Seon asked and sarcastically laughed.

"Shut up and answer my question!"

"We'll take advantage of her blood to wake our dead and foolish queen."

"Why would you use someone for your own advantage? You can hunt someone else" Sunoo fought back still guarding the door.

"Aish! You're too bubbly! Just hand her over here!" Seon ordered being annoyed.

"I will give her once you answer me" Sunoo nag to cure his curiosity.

"Okay. That girl is a half-breed! And she belongs to us because she's Queen Elias's daughter. And since she looks nice, it'd be better if she becomes my bride" Seon replied and grinned.

Sunoo's eyes widened after knowing Lia was the Alpha Queen's daughter but his eyes burned in bloody tint after hearing about Seon wanting Lia to be his bride.

"Now, let the groom take his bride" Seon said but Sunoo angrily met him and immediately pinned him on the ground.

"Snap out from your own daydream!" Sunoo yelled, slashing his hands on his chest making a big scratch.

Seon groaned in pain that made his innocent look turned into a scary furry werewolf. His brown eyes shined and teeth sharpens.

Seon and Sunoo quickly changed places.

Seon locked his palm on Sunoo's neck squeezing it tightly.

"Get ready to die." Seon is ready to kill him anytime while his troops starts to approach the house when someone shots arrows endlessly.

Everyone stopped.

Seon was distracted. Sunoo took this chance to escape from his hands. He used his strength to push him away.

Seon was thrown away hitting one of his troops. He glared at Sunoo while covering his wound.

"Leave! And never return! " Sunoo ordered breathing heavily.

A werewolf stubbornly approached the door and was about to open it when Sunghoon suddenly appeared from nowhere.

He quickly grabbed her in the neck and locked his hand very tight, raising her in the air.

Seon's eyes widened watching it.

"You..... You're alive?" Seon uttered.

Sunghoon threw the dead body in front of Seon.

"You're surprised? You may have killed me once but victory will never be yours. I will always come back to protect what I need to protect" Sunghoon replied keeping a pokerface.

"We have your princess's hairpin. Just wait and we'll catch her soon" a voice interfered.

"Brother...." Sunoo called.

Seon knew what the three brothers are capable of. Sunghoon was the strongest amongst them. Sunoo is invulnerable wherein he cannot be killed by stabs, wounds and gunshots. Their older brother is a very skilled archer and sword fighter. He also has the ability to absorb life of enemies.

"Just wait for my return! I'll come back to get that girl!" He challenged.

"You want to marry Lia?"

Sunghoon smirked, "then I'm your rival."

Seon ignored him and signaled his troops to back out. Their dead mate automatically turned into ashes as the moon light touched her.

Sunoo calmed down and his innocent look went back afterwards.

Sunghoon walked towards him. "You did well" he cheered patting his shoulder.

"Now, I figured it out why mother is desperate in guarding Lia" Sunoo said.

"Keep it yourself. This isn't the right time to tell everything to her."

"I understand. How's Yoona?"

Their gazes dropped on their brother whose silently standing and staring at the moon.

"She's fine. I dropped her home and I can say she's very nice to talk to" he replied.

"Don't make compliments" Sunoo responded.

His brother smiled in silence.

Sunoo noticed Sunghoon is holding a piece of orchid in his bloody hands.

"What's the flower for?" he bothered to ask.

"For Lia" he shortly replied.

"Eh?"

"She lost all the flowers she collected earlier so I picked one for her."

"Huh! You really bothered to do that when your life is in danger?!"

"What can I do? She's longing for Jungwon."

The two looked at him after being surprised.

"She knew Jungwon?!"

"Hmm... She's the one Jungwon was telling us about when he came home" Sunghoon explained.

"Woah. My pride was a bit hurt for her. How can she accept everything once it will be revealed" Sunoo pitied.

"She's different on what you think. I guess she'll understand."

"But still..... I guess I'll have to apologize to her once she'll wake up. I don't know how many times I yelled at her today" Sunoo replied turning his back at them.

"But let me ask you one thing. What do you mean you'll be Seon's rival to Lia?" their older brother asked.

Sunghoon bit his lips and took a minute to answer.

"I think I'm starting to like Lia, Heeseung."
