26|| Sweet 18th, Sunoo

Sunghoon breathed heavily after being released. He immediately cupped Lia's cheeks, making sure she's fine.

Lia burst into tears hugging Sunghoon tight.

"It's okay" Sunghoon tried to calm her down with a hug.

"Kim Sunoo!!!! Please no!!" Yoona exclaimed crying. She placed her bestfriend in her lap.

"You'll be okay" Yoona cupped his face.

"Sunoo, you'll be okay. Hang in there" Jay said, tearing down. Sunoo shook his head.

"Jay, I'm not ready yet" Sunoo whispered to his brother that made him burst out in tears.

He held Sunoo's hand, forcing a smile, "you'll live. You'll live" he forcedly replied despite the fact that the prophecy already happened and even Lia's blood can't save him. The deadly arrow they said turned out that it will come from the crown prince.

"Mad fish?" Lia interfered. Jay gave her way as the lady immediately kneeled down.

"You're o-okay, r-right?" Lia stuttered with tears.

Sunoo smiled and slowly nodded.

Lia cupped his cheek, connected their foreheads. She forced a smile saying, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything. Why did you do it?"

Sunoo breathed heavily, "I'm not ready to die yet but I'm willing to sacrifice. We are friends, remember?"

"Hmm... I remember it."

"I thought I really loved you Lia but I guess I'm wrong. You're just my dearly friend."

Lia broke into tears and didn't respond.

Lia broke it off and kissed him on the forehead as her final goodbye whispering, "Thank you Sunoo. Sleep tight, I love you."

"Please hang on. I'm begging you" Yoona begged but Sunoo bitterly smiled.

"Yoona,it hurts. It hurts so much."

Yoona then placed her hand over his, that's holding his wound all along, "then endure it for me."

"Lastly, I-I want you to k-know.... I loved you all along" Sunoo uttered that made her cry even more.

"I love you too and I will always do."

Yoona pressed her lips to his. As their lips collide, the moonlight touched Sunoo's skin.

"Happy 18th Birthday, Sunoo!!!" His brothers painfully greeted as he continue to turn into warm glowing ashes.

Ni-ki can't stop himself to cry out loud watching his brother disappear.

Yoona held on too tight to the arrow that's left all alone, crying.

"I'm sorry" Heeseung apologized. He expected everyone to turn around but instead, Sunghoon hugged him, patting his back.

"Everyone saw it coming. Please don't blame yourself."

Heeseung rested his head on Sunghoon's shoulder crashing into tears. Jake then gave another hug behind as the rest follows.

Yoona started to sob. She felt like her whole world collapsed. The only bestfriend she had, disappeared in a snap.

Lia turned back in order for her heart to feel heavy a bit more.

Sunghoon separated from his brother and sensed Eli around. As he look aside, he met her burning eyes, glaring at Lia.

Eli pulled something in her sleeveㅡher hairpin. She looked at Sunghoon first before throwing it into the air.

Lia flinched when Sunghoon suddenly grab her shoulders forcing her to face him.

"W-what's wrong?" Lia asked.

Sunghoon stared at her,gulping. She looked at his eyes and saw pain.

"Sunghoon!" Jungwon called loudly that caught the attention of the rest. They turned around and saw a pretty metallic hairpin struck into his left shoulder.

Then came a roaring sounds of wolves again.

"We can't beat them. Eli is here and Sunghoon is in pain!" Jay warned.

Jake surrounded the three humans along with his brother with fire. Eli roared loudly and as she jump into the air, she turns into a white furry wolf, attacking the princes.

Meanwhile, Lia kept calling Sunghoon's name after he collapsed to the ground.

"Sunghoon, wake up" she tried to cup his face but there is no response.

"I can't let the both of you go" her voice started shaking when she can see there is no pulse observed in his neck.

"Let's go watch the fireworks again." As she look at the sky, the full moon is about to unravel from the clouds.

"Blood..." she uttered.

She tried to look for something sharp. Lia took a deep breath and removed the hairpin in Sunghoon's back. She instantly made a cut in her wrist.

"Ah!"

"Once her blood will start flowing into someone, she will die" those words left by her mother echoed. She shook her head, shut her eyes and pressed her wrist into Sunghoon's mouth. "Live.."

As expected, history repeats itself. Her blood starts flowing again in his veins.

Meanwhile, the crown prince Heeseung was pushed down the ground strongly by Eli.

"You call yourself a future king? Can't you see? Your brothers are losing. Sunghoon died. Come on, Heeseung! Just hand me over that woman" Eli ordered, pointing a sword at him.

His eyes sparked when Yoona threw the last arrow at his side which Eli seemed not to notice.

He made sure his eyes locked with Eli, slowly grabbing his arrow.

Heeseung smirked,"I DON'T ACCEPT DEFEAT!!" he fought back, furiously standing in his feet again.

Everyone froze because of his loud words. As they look at Eli, she slowly kneeled down the ground and started vomiting blood.

"The death of my brothers must also be your end. You played the game well Eli but I hope when you're given a chance to live again, you'll treat Lia well. I prefer hearing your laughs together as friends not a burning eyes glaring at each other. I've been watching the two of you for the past years and I know you knew it too" Heeseung said with a tears escaping from his eye.

Eli scoffed, "what's so special about her? Those flowing blood is just the one whose keeping her special not some strength,power or magic."

"She is a woman with purity and you're just a girl who finds it hard to let herself grow. Know the difference between a woman and a girl" Heeseung uttered.

"A woman? Tsk! What a piece of sh!t" she replied before shutting her eyes forever.
