25|| The Unexpected

Days passed as their relationship went well and was filled with joy.

"Sunghoon!" Lia called, having difficulty in walking because of the vines blocking her way in the woods.

"Where is he? He promised to meet me in here" Lia mumbled to herself. She tried to roam around but there's no sign of him.

"WHAT A GHOST!!!" she exclaimed when Sunoo suddenly appeared in front of her.

The sweet smile on his face dropped.

"Aren't you being too harsh!? It feels like you just told me yesterday that I'm a mad fish and now, I'm a ghost!" He exclaimed.

Lia scoffed while dusting her dress. "You called me a cat fish! It's more uglier than mad fish!"

Sunoo rolled his eyes and turned his back on her.

"What are you doing in here anyway?" Lia asked as they both continues walking not knowing where would they go.

"Just walk quietly will you? Your boyfriend is waiting somewhere" Sunoo replied with annoyance in his voice.

Lia low-key blushed when Sunoo called Sunghoon as her boyfriend.

Sunoo felt an awkward silence between them. "So, since you'll be my sister-in-law soon, will you be a bit kind towards me?"

Lia didn't respond that annoyed Sunoo again.

"Yah! Lia----- Lia?" Sunoo was cut off when he turned around and the lady is not there.

He started to get nervous when Lia's basket was left behind.

"LIA KIM!!!! LIA!!!!! CAT FISH!!!!!" Sunoo tried to tease her hoping she would show up but the silent surrounding tells it.

His body shaken when a hairpinㅡ Eli's hairpin was struck to a tree, with bloods dripping on it.

"Brother" he uttered and immediately dashed out of the woods.

"You must be very nervous right now" Jungwon said while fixing Sunghoon's ribbon. Sunghoon smiled.

"Don't be. You look good enough" Jake, the third prince interfered while also fixing the flowers.

"The crown prince will come here with the ring" Ni-ki reminded. All the seven prince gathered somewhere in the woods, getting ready for Sunghoon's proposal to Lia.

"But why do this proposal seems so fast?" Jay, the second prince asked.

Sunghoon lowered his gaze, "it's better to do it today than never."

His siblings looked at him, filling the surrounding with silence.

Just then, Sunoo came holding a poor cat fish in his hand that broke the silence.

"Sunoo, fix your eyes. And where's Lia? Aren't you supposed to fetch her?" Jungwon scolded for his eyes are not in a normal color.

Sunoo immediately raised the cat fish and draw a line in his neck. He cannot utter any words because of too much pressure and nervous.

"What's with the cat fish? Of course it will die because you're holding it tight" Jay cluelessly replied.

Sunoo stomped his feet several times and repeated the same gestures.

Sunghoon carefully watched him.

"Are you talking about Lia?" Sunghoon alarmed.

Sunoo snapped his finger and drew a line in his neck.

Sunghoon' eyes widened, "she's in danger!?"

The siblings looked at each other nervously.

"LIA!!!!"

"CAT FISH!!!!"

"KIM LIA!!!!"

" LIA, WHERE ARE YOU!!!?"

It was already dark but everyone kept looking for her.

As Sunghoon sway his lantern, he flinched when Lia was right in front of him standing, looking straight at his direction.

"Lia" Before Sunghoon could even hug her, Jungwon flashed in a second, dragging his brother down the ground.

"What are you think you are doing?" Sunghoon scolded.

"Look at her! She is not your girl! If she's Lia, she will meet you first" Jungwon explained walking away from her.

Sunghoon looked at her again and she was just staring at him.

Yoona screamed breaking the silence. Sunghoon looked around and werewolves came surrounding them all.

"Cat fish!" Sunoo beamed happily but Lia pushed Sunoo away. Their jaws dropped because of her strength.

"Are you okay?" Jay tried to check on his little brother. Sunoo tried hard to stand no matter what.

" She is not Lia! She is under Eli's dark magic. They're doing a ritual to put Eli's soul to her body" Heeseung explained.

The werewolves start attacking. The princes fought back in order to protect Yoona and Mr. Kim.

"I'll take Seon" Sunoo said leaving them behind.

The world seemed to be turned upside down when Sunghoon and Lia was facing each other.

"There's no way she could get over it. You have no other choice but to fight" Heeseung ordered, getting ready to help his other siblings.

A tear escaped from Sunghoon's eye and clenched his fist tight.

"Lia, hang in there" Sunghoon uttered but she suddenly attacked him. She held him in the neck and pinned him in a tree, slowly raising him from the ground.

The others saw him struggling but they can't even approach him since their troops are too much to handle.

"Everything failed because of you!" Eli tightened her grip because of anger. The man wants to fight so bad but seeing the image of his lady kept him calm.

Meanwhile, Heeseung panicked because he only has one left arrow. His world seems to stop for a while the only thing he can hear is his own breathing.

He wandered around and saw his brothers fighting. It feels like the only arrow was the only hope that's left.

He tried to make the hardest decision. Jake tried to approach him.

"What will you do?"

"I need you to put this arrow in fire. I will shoot Lia"

"What!?"

"Once her blood can resist the pain, she can survive. It's the only way we can break the dark magic."

"But Heeseung, Lia is a half-breed. An arrow with a burning flame can kill a werewolf and even a vampire" Jake hesitated.

"But there's a chance she can live!"

"I can't."

"You have to. This is the only hope we have. I can feel Sunghoon is starting to give up. Our brothers are in danger too!"

It took him a minute to take action. He snapped his finger as it starts to burn.

With a heavy heart, Heeseung aimed it straight to Lia. He bit his lip, shut his eyes and slowly released the arrow.

But everything didn't went as expected. Before it could even struck her in the heart, Sunoo was the one who catched it. He tried to protect Lia at all cost.

His blood splashed in Lia's mouth as their memories together flashed in her mind that broke the dark magic.

"KIM SUNOO!!!!!!" Yoona exclaimed, running towards him.

"SUNOO!!!!" his brothers called.
